Name: LightWing

Diet: Herbivorous

Average lifespan: 1-150 years, (like all the tribes) only live from 1-20

Scale color(s): Shades of white, light gray, tan, and bright yellows, these dragons stand out on the dark-colored island

Eye color(s): Light brown

Horns/spikes/claws: Not many, dull horns and only a few down their backs, but have very sharp claws

Body shape: Skinny, smaller sized dragons, not much muscle, lean legs, a head with a long muzzle

Other appearance details: Very defined, sharp jawline

Abilities: Can withstand colder temperatures, blend into the small amount of snow that is very high up in the mountains of their territory, use their small size to slide under dragons and fit into small spaces that even ShadowWings can't fit into

Special abilities: -

Strengths: Their ability to withstand colder temperatures and fit into small spaces, are very smart and clever dragons, very collected- they like to plan things out first than just running into battles like madmen (ShadowWings)

Weaknesses: Because of their bright white colors in the dark, gray/black area, they're not hard to spot at all (you could see them from almost a mile away), not very muscular, if a StormWing grabbed ahold of them they wouldn't be able to shove him or her off, submissive and easy to take prisoner, very loving and caring for each other so many of them are used as leverage for other LightWings

Kingdom's name: Empire of Light

Kingdom's location: Northeast part of the mountain; they have the smallest territory of the island and live in the corners of the island where all the mountains are

Palace(s): The Sparkling Palace - located deep in the mountains, it is where the Queen and her family reside, safe from the deadliest tribe, PlagueWings. However the King or Queen will often come out to rescue one of their own that's been taken prisoner and endanger themselves several times, if they didn't have their guards to risk their lives to save their rulers the royalty would be dead.

Other buildings: Caves within the sides of the mountain, two hatcheries (The Royal Hatchery and The Local Hatcheries), very kind

Ranks/occupations: Queen, King, Princess/Prince, soldier, guard, egg watcher/caretaker, observer

Tribe relationships: Assigned marriages and dates given to get the egg production happening; since the tribe is possibly going extinct the queen is rushing to get her tribe to reproduce and keep the population consistent

Relationships towards other tribes: LightWings don't love any tribes. They don't love StormWings however don't have a huge grudge against them, major enemies with ShadowWings, and terrified to death of PlagueWings

Attitude towards dragons with special abilities: Since LightWings have no special abilities, they'll try to capture dragons (specifically StormWings) with special abilities and force them to work with LightWings.

Attitude towards hybrids: Since the other three tribes are the only other tribes these dragons know, they are not strongly disapproved of but if hybrids do happen to be created, LightWings need dragons badly so if a hybrid of a LightWing and a StormWing, for example, is created then LightWings will happily take them in because that dragon will have some special abilities

Eggs: Royal eggs are put in The Royal Hatchery, and citizen eggs are put in their Local Hatcheries and a name is put on them. When they hatch the egg watchers/caretakers care for the newborn dragonets for a bit and the mother/father get to visit, and when they turn a year old they get to return home.

Dragonets: Raised properly by their parents who are usually somewhat distant from them, sent to school at dawn and return when the sun sets

At school they learn essentials first, like how to hunt, how to fight, etc. Then they learn the history, numbers, more words, and academic stuff.

Other cultural details: When a dragon dies, LightWings have these "Spirit of Life" rituals that last for one whole night and they celebrate the life of the dragon, whether it was a small dragonet or an aging elder, they still celebrate the dragon's life and burn the body. If there's no body to be found they burn something of that dragon's possession (ex. Jewelry, food, etc.)

History: LightWings were the last tribe to join the island. They used to live on an island called Maloki, however, a volcano erupted on their peaceful and tropical island, and the dragons were forced to flee. They flew and flew and flew and flew until they stumbled upon Flemdover. Thousands of LightWings died on the journey, specifically dragonets, and the population went from over 1,000,000 to below 100,000 in the span of a few days of constant flying over the ocean. When they landed in the mountains no other tribe had wanted the cold area so LightWings adapted to the cold and have lived there since.
