Chapter 1..♡

(Ria's P.O.V)

Turning over, I saw the empty space.. where was my boyfriend? Putting on my jogging bottoms, I saw him in the kitchen. The thing about Dean was that he had a tendency to get really jealous. Like, even if a guy walked past me.. he would flip. I was really trying to stay on his good side. I would never know what mood he was in. "Morning babe." He continued to cut the fruit up for breakfast. "You were out late last night." Why is he so pissed? Here we go again. "I was only at a bar with Ashleigh." He spun around.. coming up close to me. "How dare you talk to me like that? You were meant to be home on time to cook MY dinner!" He smashed the glass.. frightening me. "You'll get no dinner from me tonight." He then slapped me. Wincing, I cried. "Stop your whinging.. go and get dressed." Running upstairs, I went into the bathroom.. my cheek was bleeding. I took some anti septic wipes. Crying as I cleaned my cheek.. where was the guy I fell in love with? Deciding to go downstairs, I saw him outside. He smoked quite a lot. He just didn't care.

Hearing my phone buzz, I saw a text from Ashleigh..

I'm in trouble. I need you to take me to the hospital. 

Showering quickly, I got my bag, phone and coat. Driving in my car, I drove to Ashleigh's house. Seeing her on the floor clearly in pain, I opened the door. 'Awh hun.. let's get you in the car." Trying to help her stay calm, I pulled up about the medical centre. "Help!!! My sister needs help!" Seeing two doctors run towards me, they took her. "Maggie! This is.." Seeing the doctor turn towards me, I told him everything. "Ashlieigh Simons. She's 24. She's my sister." Seeing her get wired up with another doctor, I stood there.. crying. "Come on sweetheart. I'll take you to the canteen." Not only was Ashleigh my sister, she was my best friend. Sipping my coffee, I thought about what I was going through. How would I get out of this one? "Excuse me?" Turning around, another doctor smiled at me. "Hi. I'm Doctor Rhodes. Your sister has bled a lot.. we also saw spots of dry blood on her arms. Has she been out of sorts recently? Been with someone who's abusive maybe?" The thing about my sister was.. she was very secretive. She would hide things that were big. She always tried to be so strong." Connor asked about the bruise on my cheek. "It's nothing." Walking back to the cubicle, I saw Ashleigh just cry.. "Sis.. shhh.. it's ok. I'm here." I asked Dr Halstead the update on tests that he'd had done. "She's not pregnant, She's not seriously injured. We've managed to steady the bleed." Looking at her face, she tried to tell me something.. "Ashleigh.." Then, a mass of doctors ran in.. "She's seizing!! Get her on her side!!" Crying in horror, I backed away.. seeing her like this. It scared me. "She's stopping.." What caused her to have an epileptic seizure?

I sat with Dr Halstead.. he asked if my sister was in trouble. "She's got tonnes of bruises on her arms, She's very lethargic, she seems scared too. Is there anyone that would want to hurt her?" Thinking it over, he said that he could get in contact with his brother. "He works for the police station across town." I said that I would be fine. "Ashleigh is going to be just fine. You can go and sit with her." Going to the cubicle, I took her hand as I saw her sleeping. If only she knew what was going on..
