Chapter 40♡

(Maggie's P.O.V)

Setting up everything for when the girls arrived, Barry kissed me. 'Have fun with the ladies. I'll be out at the bar with friends." Kissing me, he went. Setting up the living room, I put some music on. April then knocked on the door. "Hi girl! Come in!" She then told me all about Ethan.. "He's always around. Like, we talk a lot. He's nice." I giggled whilst sorting out the drinks. "Yeah.. I get it. He's an awesome guy. I know that you and him are meant to be together." I decided to make martinis. "Oooh.. Tonight is gonna be lit!"

Hearing the front door go, April went to go and answer it. "Hey Ashleigh! Ahh Ria." Hearing both of them, April offered them a drink. 'How is going with your little babies huh?' Ashleigh then brought me up to speed. 'Riley is just adorable. He's a very messy 5 year old though.' April cooed at the thought of him. 'I remember helping deliver him. I know you and Will are such a sweet couple though.' Once Maggie had brought drinks and snacks in, we all chilled out. 'Well my little girl is just growing up so fast.'

Ria looked so happy. 'How is it with Jay?' Seeing her blush, I asked. 'It's complicated. After what he did, I did consider ending things.' I looked at April. 'Jay cheated on her.' April then asked how she was. 'I'm doing ok. I do want to work on things. We have Bea now. He's trying to make things up to me.' I offered some good advice. 'You may feel like you want to leave him.. but I've seen the way he is with you. I can tell that you love him. Bea is such an adorable girl by the way.'

We all laughed, shared stories.. as it got to about 6pm, we all heard the doorbell go. 'I'll get it.' Answering the door, I saw 2 bouquets of flowers. Smiling, I brought them in. 'A delivery man just dropped these off for you.' Handing one bouquet to April, she blushed. 'This is so beautiful!' Handing the other one to Ria, Ashleigh winked. "What is it that you're not telling me sis?" Giving Ria the envelope, she opened it. Reading it, she blushed.

Dear Ria,

I love you and our little girl. I just want to spend every moment with you. I brought these flowers for my girl. Have a nice time tonight. Xxx

Seeing my sister cry, I hugged her. "He's so cute." Admiring the flowers, I heard my phone bleep. It was Will.

I'm all packed for tomorrow night. Your're all mine soon. xxxx He was so cheeky. 'So April, are you going to ask Ethan out now?' Maggie laughed along with Ria. 'Maybe. What are you smiling about?' Telling them about our weekend away, they asked if me or Will was ready for more children. 'He's so great with Riley. He loves him to bits. I'd love a girl.' Once we had drank all the lemonade, we all got going. 'Tonight was so fun. I'll see you both soon.' Hugging both me and my sister, I thanked her. 'Keep us up to date with everything ok?' I said that I would. Leaving with Ria, she just smiled. 'I wonder how our guys got on with the kids?' Getting in the car, I giggled. 'Jay has probably fed his nephew coco pops and Will has probably been playing peek a boo with Bea all night!' We then rang Chelsea on the way home. 'Hey ladies!! How are you both?' She sounded so happy. Saying that we were both good, she asked if we wanted to go wedding dress shopping tomorrow. 'OF COURSE!' We both said that simultaneously. We were too excited for this. 'How's Evan?' She then went all quiet and shy on the phone. 'He's good.' Getting back to the apartment, I handed the phone over to Ria. 'Hi guys..' They were both watching a movie. With the children.

Bea was sat up with her toys.  Riley was in his racing car pyjamas.. his eyes glued to the tv. 'Mommy..' Riley ran up to me as I cuddled him. 'Mommy missed you sweetie. Are you ready for bed?' Nodding his head, Will woke up. 'Hi babe. I fell asleep. How was your night?' Kissing him, I touched his cheek. 'It was great. I'll take him upstairs. I need to talk to you.'He then looked over at Jay. My niece had his eyes. 'Night honey.' Jay looked over at Ria. 'I'll leave you both to it.'

(Ria's P.O.V)

I still loved Jay. Seeing him with Bea made my insides go crazy. He smiled at me.. "She just kept  giggling at me tonight. It was really nice spending time with her and my nephew.' Wanting to just touch him, I reached for his hand. "I love you. Yes, I said it. I love you Jay Halstead." Leaning over to me as Bea slept, he just touched my hand. "I love you too Ria Simons. You're an amazing mommy to our little one. You're a great girlfriend." I cooed at him. "You're so sweet. Did you wanna go back to yours?" Checking on Bea, he kissed her as she just snored lightly. "Yeah." Getting my bag, he placed her back in her pram as we left to go home.

Checking on her, Jay decided to drive home. "Hank said that he wanted to meet his goddaughter." We both decided that Hank would be her godfather. "That would be really nice. We can always decide a day this week. Or this weekend." Pulling up the car on the driveway, I took out the car seat. "I love you." Kissing him, he opened the door.

"I'll take her upstairs, put her down." I placed her bag on the sofa. Sitting down, I looked through my texts. Sasha had messaged me. Saying that she was free tomorrow. It would be so nice to have a catch up with her. Texting her back, I arranged a time with her. Going upstairs, I saw that Jay was settling his little girl. "Your extended family love you. They'll all protect you. Daddy and Mommy love you so much. So does your aunt and uncle." Seeing him with her made me happy.
