Chapter 36♡

(Ashleigh's P.O.V)

Kissing Will, he just smiled. "You're so beautiful." Hugging him, he sat up. "It's been really busy at work lately. We've all had new clients. But, it has been great helping them." Going to check on Riley, I saw that he was already awake. "Mommy." Rubbing my hand through his hair, I kissed his cheek. "Morning baby." Taking out his clothes, I asked him if he was excited for nursery today. "Yes Mommy. I am. We are painting pictures, playing with toys." Running the water for his shower, I just remembered that my sister was downstairs with my niece. "Will! Babe? Could you shower Riley, get him ready and sort out his backpack please?" He said sure. "Ria is still downstairs." He sighed. "Jay hasn't even texted me. I'll sort him out." Hearing him roar, I went to see how my sister was. "Morning. Oh Bea." Ria just sat up. "I'm shattered. She slept right through though." She looked like she had been crying. "I just wanted to check on you before I get ready for work." Saying that I was sweet, I told her that we would all be there for her.  Hearing my niece cry, my sister picked her up. "Oooh.. let's make you a bottle hey?" She was a brilliant mom.

Going back upstairs to get ready, I saw that Riley was ready. "His backpack is downstairs." Will said that he knew where it was. "I'll make some breakfast for him, then grab something at work." Tickling him, I kissed his cheek. "Love you mommy." Going to get showered, I thought about how well things were going. I hadn't felt low for a while. I was taking time out for myself when I needed it. Things felt good. Hearing Ria come upstairs, she had Elsie in her hands. "She's all fed. Did Riley and Will get off ok?" Nodding, I switched off the shower. "I'll pick him up after work." Asking if she could use the shower, I said that she didn't have to do that. "You can use anything. We all share. You're our guest."

Deciding on an outfit, I went with a casual look today. Leaving my hair down, I placed a cute butterfly clip in it. Looking in the mirror, I took a deep breath. "Right, I'm going to have some breakfast before I go. It's only about 7.50am." Hearing my phone, I answered the call. "Hey Jen. Yes. I'll be at work soon. Are you ok?" Saying that she was, I made myself some cereal. "That's so cute. Aw. See you in a bit." Having my cereal, I then got ready. "See you later Ria!" She shouted bye!

Arriving at work, I saw that it was already busy. "Morning Andrew." Saying morning back, he checked what clients he had for the day. "I have Mrs Palmer first. Enjoy your day." Opening my office door, I got all my stuff ready on my desk. Hearing my phone bleep, I saw 2 messages.

Just dropped him off. Love you. Have a fab day. Love you. Xx

Seeing the next message..  I saw that it was from Maggie.

Morning ladies! Hope you're all doing well. I was thinking of organising a girls night at my house for this weekend. Let me know.💜xx

Replying to Maggie and Will's texts, I then got ready to start my day.

(Will's P.O.V)

'Dr Halstead!" Hearing April, I raced to a cubicle. "This is Larry Gibbons. He's been in a car accident. He's 45." Checking his vitals, I heard shallow breathing on one side... "You may have a collapsed lung so we'll get an x ray for you." Asking April to get Connor, I went to talk to Natalie. "I have this patient. He's been in a car accident." Natalie winced at the thought of it. "Ahhh.. that's horrible." Saying that he was having an X ray, Natalie asked if she could consult.

"Hi. I'm Dr Manning. How long have you been feeling unwell?" The patient spoke to her as I went outside. Texting Ashleigh, I missed her. I was really proud of how well she's being handling her mental health.  She'd had a few aniexty attacks here and there.. but I'd taught her some techniques to help.

"Will!" Dr Rhodes told me that the guy had internal bleeding. "He'll need surgery. I can do that.. and he'll just take time to recover." Shaking Connor's hand, I went to get a coffee. Ashleigh was doing so well. Spending the other evening together was so lovely. My sessions with the anger management coach were going very well. I was recognising my triggers.

I then started to just deep breathe.. when I felt anxious. I didn't want to lash out at my girlfriend. Ringing her, she picked up. "Hello gorgeous. I was just thinking of you." Seeing Maggie, she smiled at me. "Ahh good. Glad that you're having a good day. I'll see you later. Love you."

After many patients, I looked at the time. Getting ready to go, I heard my phone buzz. It was Jay. "Hi. Yeah, I've just finished work. I'll meet you at Molly's."

After popping home to get changed, Ashleigh texted me to tell me that she would collect Riley from nursery. Making my way to Molly's, I saw Jay. "Hi bro.' Getting a beer, he asked me about Ria. "I miss her Will. Trust me when I say this, I didn't hook up with Erin. It was some other girl. I know that it doesn't make it alright though. How is she?" Being honest, I told him how upset she is. "She's not been sleeping. Ashleigh has had to sit with her a lot.. Bea is such a beautiful baby. My niece misses her daddy. Are you not happy?"

Saying the opposite, he said that he really loves Ria. "She's had my baby." He continued to talk whilist drinking his beer. " My head just felt a bit messy. I do truly love her though." Asking me about Ashleigh and me, I just blushed. "That woman is amazing." Jay giggled. "Let's go." Hugging him, I told him that things will get better soon. "You two are meant to be together."



Making my way home, I heard crying. Letting myself in, I saw Ria curled up.. with a pin in her hand. "I.. can't." Asking her to stay with me, I just held her, taking the pin away from her. "I'll ring Evan. "Hey. Yeah, you need to come over now. Ria has cut again." Placing a bandage on her hand, I heard the front door open. Both Ashleigh and Evan walked in. "Ria.. Evan, take Riley upstairs please." Just letting Ashleigh hug her sister, she just cried. "I.. miss him." I explained everything to Ashleigh.

"Looks like he's missing her more then ever." Asking Ashleigh if she needed to go back to Med, she said no. "It's better if she's here with Bea." Going to see to Bea, she just gurgled a lot. "Mommy's  going to be ok." Letting Ashleigh look after Ria, I took her upstairs. "How's my sister?" Evan sat on the stair with Riley. "Broken. Jay cheated on her." Evan told me that Ashleigh told him. "She's so upset Will. I thought Jay loved her." I told Evan that he does. "Well, he clearly doesn't. Sorry.. but my sister has reverted back to an old habit because of him."
