A/N: I'm alive! Sorry it's taken so long to update :(

Chapter 26:
Matthew has been gone for two full days (the day he went missing not included)...
Two days and two more members of The Vigilantes missing...Jon and Lottie; I never got to ask them how their vacation went. I have everyone on high alert and I'm doing my best to keep everyone safe. Since Jesse and Jason are the newest members, I have them shadowing Scott and Peter. Kaylie has Landon and Merrick safely tucked away in our "panic room."
"Sam, there's a note for you and I don't think you're gonna like it," Scott called up to me.
I groaned and reluctantly stood up. The picture of Matthew, Merrick, and I sat on my desk. We looked so happy; it was hard to tell that this picture was taken nearly a week prior to these events. I slipped on my cardigan and headed to the living room.
Scott was holding an envelope in his hand and I questioned how he knew it was bad. It was when I saw the bloody fingerprints on the outside that the worry in me grew. I held my hand out for the letter.
Hey there babe,
How's it going? Sorry about the blood; I didn't bother washing my hands. I know I said I'd wait to kill those you loved; but the guy was so annoying! And don't panic; it wasn't Matthew. What was his name...Jerry...Jim...Jon? Jon! That was it. He put up one hell of a fight; I was rather impressed. But this isn't as much fun as I thought it'd be. I kind of expected you to show up already - riding a white horse or something cliche like that. Time's moving fast babe, and the longer you wait, the more impatient I become. Matthew says "hi" by the way. Well he would if he was able to talk, but you know, things happen! The clock's tickin'...come and find me.
All my love,
T.G.
I screamed in frustration and my friends flinched. I threw the letter to the ground and stormed up to my bedroom. I grabbed two large suitcases and threw in some clothes I knew would fit Kaylie and then I proceeded to Merrick's room and grabbed clothes for my son and Landon."Sammy, what are you doing?" I heard my cousin ask.
I licked my dry lips and looked at Scott. "I'm getting Kaylie, Landon, and Merrick out of here. And then we're going to go find Thomas and finish him off once and for all. I'm sick of his shadow following my every move."
"We're not ready. We don't have any plans...."
"Scott, I don't care. They killed Jon! I'm not letting anyone else get taken. We are leaving as soon as I say and we are going to go rescue Lottie and Matthew," my eyes had formed slits. "And as far as anyone is concerned, I am still the leader of this gang and you follow my orders. Understood?"
Scott's jaw clenched but he nodded. I handed him the suitcases and told him to take them downstairs. He did as I asked and I then left to go tell Kaylie the new plan.
The "panic room" as we have recently been calling it is really just our attic. The door locks from the inside and no one can get in; well, so we think. I knocked on the door and Kaylie opened it; her hair sticking in all different directions.
I chuckled and she glared at me. "You try sleeping with two children under the age of 10."
I just rolled my eyes and headed over to my son. He kissed my cheek and snuggled his head into my neck. I pecked his forehead and looked over at the girl who has become a sister to me. She noticed the pain in my eyes and asked what was wrong.
