I come home from school with a black eye stupid Sydney punched me in the face that son of a fire truck. I walk into the kitchen get some ice from the fridge and put it over my eye. My mom suddenly walks into the kitchen I hurry up and put my sunglasses on I don't want her to know about it or else she wouldO probably file a police report or something like that. I see her crying and i ask mom what's wrong she looks at me and says "Hun I found out that your father got out of jail". I stood their motionless looking at her with my jaw open in fear. Mom theirs no way that could happen he's suppose to be in their for life for abusing me, abusing you, shooting you in the leg, raping me what the hell do you mean he's out of jail
"I know honey he got out early for good behavior and shit like that" NO NO NO what if he finds us what will we do then. "He won't find us if we are careful and I'm sure he has moved on and is starting a new life". I ran upstairs in tears praying that this is not true that all this was a lie. That I was in a dream a dream that haunted me and never let me wake up from, but it was real the thing that haunts me most could be on its way to kill me and my mom how could this be.

"Elena you wanna see my Halloween costume" yea sure, oh my gosh are you serious "I know right so awesome I can't wait to be wearing this". I suddenly get quiet and just look at the floor. "Elena what's wrong is it from Sydney do I need to go punch a bitch cause if you let me I will go and do it" nah its fine I was just thinking. I was really thinking how my dad could potentially find me and kill me. "You know what I'm gonna give you a make over" what no I like the way I look. "You need to show those girls how pretty you really are" she was actually kinda right for once I need to show those girls that I'm not just a nobody I can look just as good as them. Let's do it, I say anxiously.
