"Merry Christmas SAN FRANCISCO!!" the radio Dj yelled, static from the radio waking me from my slumber.

"Alexa? Turn off radio" I grumbled, rubbing my neck to massage out the kink. My heart stopped as I remembered the event from last night and I dashed down the stairs to observed the empty living room.

Maybe he would still be here?

I couldn't help but frown as I saw the quiet picture of loneliness. The cookies were still there along with my list?

Maybe it was all a dream?

I crawled to the space beneath my tree and see a small little note, hidden behind the branches.

"To: Wynter

Your cookies sucked"

From:Santa"

I chuckled and closed the note, looking out the window of the room.

Maybe it wasn't a dream?

I ran back upstairs and dashed for my phone in the back drawer. "Siri! Call Lorie and put her on speaker phone" I demanded.

"YAYAYAY" a shrill voice belted.

"Lorie! Hello? Hello!"

"Whats up Wynter! Merry Christmas!!" She yelled through the yells of others. A crowd of people sounded behind her as she laughed to the merry company of her family. "I'm at the town parade!what's up!"

"I saw.. Santa! I mean I think I saw santa? There is a necklace he left me? Did you hire someone one?"

"What? Yea Santa is cool! Wynter I can't really hear you? Did you say you saw Santa!?"

"Yes Lorie! Yes!" I yelled urgently.

"Look Wynter! I can't here you! Text me! I gotta go" she yelled and hung up. I quickly dropped my phone and went to the bathroom to splash water on my face.

No..Surely I must be dreaming!
Yes!
It was a dream.

But his lips...they felt so real...
And the bright green hue of his eyes...it captivated you into a helpless stupor...almost like magic.

"Lorie...get it together! You are fantasizing about Santa! a old and ancient fat man! It was a dream! A fallacy" I whispered to myself. I went to brush my teeth and make breakfast. I needed to take my mind of that nightmare!

"Your late!" my father snapped as I came into the warehouse. It transformed into a wonderland of goods and toys.

"I had to make a detour" I lied.

"You cut it too close Nick! Christmas was almost ruined"

"Look dad..last time I checked, I was the new Santa? Not you" I rolled my eyes and went to find my normal clothing. He followed behind me, up until I reached my quarters. He checked off the list, making sure I hit each house.. "You gave a girl some lump of coal named Becky?"

"Yea she cheated on me earlier this year so I trashed her car" I smiled pridefully and turned into another hallway.

"Nick how many times have I told you not to mess with the humans! You can't continue to—"

"Blah blah blah dad. I know. Yet I still do it" I shrugged, pulling off my red coat and hat. I observed our palace as the servants and helpers ran to prepare for the Christmas feast tonight.
