It's been a while so here is a quick summary:
Wynter met Nick Dec 25 on Christmas Day
Banquet was Dec 27 (Nick proposed to Wynter here/met Jack Frost/drew claus)
Dec 28: Wynter went home and used Nick as a fluffy animal. Then he drove her to work. Agreed to do the santa campaign for her job. This is a flashback. Dec 28.
Jack Frost came to his castle after the party.Jack Frost
I sat at the base of my bed, staring blankly out the window as I thought of the girl from last night.
The beauty that had captured my heart. There was no way Nick Claus had captured her heart. The timeline of events was all too convenient.
He needed a wife before the end of the year and found one 3 days before his deadline? Something wasn't adding up."Jack come on" one girl whispered, kissing my shoulder before coaxing me to join her in bed with the other girls I had summoned. I pushed her away and stood, storming to my shower to cleanse myself. I needed to learn more about this princess named Wynter.
I vowed to make her mine.

Current DayThis is the same day, right after Nick dropped Wynter off at work. (The dates/time is weird so just ignore it! It's wattpad)
Nick
Back at the Pole, I see carriages of three lines in the entrance. Hmmm I wonder who that could be? We weren't expecting any visitors.
"Nick finally!!! You seem to be missing more and more" my mother smiles hugging my torso. She frowned once she smelled my scent and rolled her eyes. "You're not traveling to earth again for fun are you?" she squinted her eyes suspiciously.
Fun would be the last word I would use to describe my encounters with Wynter.
"No mother" I scoffed walking past her.
"I know it's not my business but I'm just making sure Nicholas, especially now that you have a fiancé" she hinted. I sighed and continued walking to my room. I needed to grab my scroll and start working on the list for Christmas. Although it was 11 months away there was still so much to do.
"What's up with the carriages?" I asked as she walked beside. She stopped at the end of the hallway before turning to face me.
"The council members are here." She admitted.
"Those grumpy old men? Again?"
"Nicholas stop! They have more questions about your fiancé and want to discuss the timeline of events. There seems to have been a change in... rules" my mother informs me.
"A change?" I ask her.
"Well, Jack is in there" She confesses, grabbing my arm to calm me down. She could sense my imminent fury. I tense up as I hear his name and raged.
"What is he doing here?!"
"Well...he found a loophole to the Clause Nicholas. Basically he can—-"
"Ahh Nicholas! Finally, you are here!" Jack announced cutting off my mother's words.
"It's Nick. I tell you everytime I see you to call me Nick" I seethed. He did it on purpose.
"Come Nicholas. The council of holidays are waiting for us. Let's not keep them waiting" he warns, turning on his heel before making his way to the meeting hall. I look at my mother, rolling my eyes before following his path.
——
"Good morning" I grumbled, entering into the room. I see the 9 councilmen in their respective seats. The looked at me as I entered in, nodding their heads to address me. My father sat just behind them with a few others. watching me intently.
"I am starting to think one of you may be rather fond of me. We keep meeting" I cheesed, leaning back into my chair. Their faces were as iced as Jack's frozen castle.
"Nicholas, as you know the Santa Clause states that every man born of the Claus family must be engaged and married before they start their role of Santa." The Easter council announced.
"Yea, so? I'm engaged and the wedding is being planned" I lied hoping they wouldn't force a wedding so soon. Wynter would be livid.
"The Santa Clause also states that any man born on the 25th of December can put in their bid to become the next Santa Clause" the New Years council spoke.
"The line and title Santa has come from my family for the past 500 generations. It has been over 7,000 years since the last spirit tried to challenge the title and he failed miserably" I reminded them, glaring over at Jack. He tried to hide his prideful grin but it was pointless.
"Jack Frostenson has just put in his bid to be the next Santa Claus. Since he was born on the 25th of the December, he has contested your position" the king of Erithria informed.
I sent daggers as Jack stared to the center of the room. "So stealing my girlfriend wasn't enough? You gotta steal my title too?" I shouted, standing up from my seat.
"Steal? Never Nicholas! And I am not stealing your title. It is still rightfully yours...unless you are already admitting your defeat."he smirked.
Red was all I saw I pushed up from my chair to face him. He stood up from his chair, challenging my stance but a few members rose from their chairs and pulled me away.
"Nicholas! Nicholas!" my father fumed, holding my shoulders to coax me into sanity. He pushed me away and took me outside.
"Are you serious Nick? What's the matter with you!"
"Dad! You can't expect me to be calm when someone is threatening my title. He can't do this!"
"He can Nick. The clause states so"
"Clauses, stupid rules, regulations, age restrictions. Who made up these ancient commands." I snapped, punching a hand against a nearby wall.
"Nicholas, calm down," my father says, trying to pacify my anger but his words made me even more upset. "Come on. The council has one more thing to say" he frowns, looking into my eyes.
I knew by his tone it wasn't good news.I walk to the center of the room, plopping down in my seat before leaning against the back. I kicked my feet up, showing them the respect they deserved.
"We would like to meet the princess named Wynter and approve of her before the nuptials"
"Not possible. She's busy all the time. I barely see her"
"Hmmm barley? Aren't you engaged?" One spirit council responded.
"You both should be inseparable" Jack interjected haughtily. I rolled my eyes before dragging them up to face the councilmen.
"Like I said before. She is busy. She runs her empire, and so do I. We see each other when we see each other." I shrugged.
"Jan 1st is the deadline for engagement. Since you have secured a fiancé, we will need to approve before the wedding at the end of 6 months."
"6 months? That's all the time I have?"
"It is the law Nicholas. After those 6 months. You will be acknowledged as the official Santa Claus of this realm. Do you agree with the timeline?"
I am silent at their question.
"Nicholas we need an answer today. Do you acknowledge the timeline and agree to adhere to these actions?" The king spoke again.
"If I say no?"
"Then you will be Santa no more. The title will transfer to the Next eligible Claus. Jack Frostenson"
I forced my eyes to look out the window before looking at my father. He slowly nodded his head, coaxing me to agree to their demands.
"Fine" I cursed, kicking my seat out and leaving the conference hall to face my new reality.I already knew Wynter would be pissed when I told her the news. How would I tell her?
