“You look like a huge dork.” Tamaki snickered at his boyfriend as he flipped the sharpie between his fingers, a trick that he'd tried and failed to teach the other many times.
“Excuse me, kitten, I look amazing!” Mirio turned around, putting his hands on his hips dramatically. He was dressing up as Santa to surprise Eri, and Tamaki was supposed to be an elf. He didn't want to dress up; too many eyes on him, but his ears did enough of that. He didn't really need to.
The nickname came from how Hadou used to try and motivate him, telling him that he had the power of a lion, yet the heart of a kitten. Despite the underlying teasing nature of it, Mirio picked it up and used it more for lovey dovey names. Plus, he just reminded him of a cat in general. His ears moved, he could see real well in the dark, and he really liked being patted or praised.
Even so, Tamaki loved it, and the blond knew this full well. He knew it was one of the only ways to get him to blush on the spot for a good reason, and so he used it as much as possible.

“Dorky or not, we're making a little girl happy! And that's what matters, right?”
Tamaki just stared at the other's smile for a moment, a flushed out grin on his face. “You're so amazing, Miri.” he mumbled, capping the marker and tapping it against the smallest box.
Mirio was used to hearing this, no matter how much he tried to make his boyfriend stop undermining himself and overidolizing him, it didn't work. Tamaki still didn't think he was anything much, while Mirio was some great god put on a pedistal. Even though that wasn't true at all, and in all honesty, Mirio thought the indigoette was a better hero than him at points.
“Bad Tamaki! What have I said about ignorinf yourself! This was your idea.” he walked over, bending down as he saw the other sigh.
“Yeah, but you're so into it, you really care. I'm too nervous to actually get into anything.”
“Heeeyyyyyy, you're doing good even doing this with me! Stop ignoring your achievements.” he took the marker and gently hit him on the nose with it, puffing his own cheeks out to make him crack a smile..
“Alright, alright, fine.” Tamaki took the marker back, tapping Mirio's button nose along with his syllables. “Let's go and make Eri happy, okay, y' ho-ho-hoe.”
