I know it's been a while family but Chapter 24 is finally here.

Jeron P.O.V

"Damn Gio...you scared me, nigga." I entered dapping him up. He laid in his hospital bed with the tv on.

"Where they hit you at fam." He had a patch up to his side.

"They grazed me, man. Better than being in a body bag. Say who the fuck was them niggas?"

"Gotta be that nigga Low. Kido and our men on it now. Fuck, this shit is the fucking worst right now." I took a minute to clear my head.

"You ight bro?" I scratched the back of my neck.

"Who the fuck knew where my party was?" Not many were invited.

"What about Kido side bitch." Tasha. I shook my head. She was at the party when it occurred.

"Nah I saw her. I need shit to be on lock for now on." It was crazy how they were so hungry for me. I'm stepping on niggas necks that bad.

"Ajaya was in a bad car accident too."

"Aye, you saw her yet? How is she fuck you sitting here for I'm straight." I sat in the nearby chair resting my elbows on my legs.

"I can't keep faking this." I laughed. "I thought the shit would get under her skin if I married another bitch."

"I knew you still had a thing for her. You better speak up nigga this might've been that warning sign." I shook my head.

"She's pregnant." I wanted to punch something. My blood boiled of anger on how she can be pregnant by that nigga.

"Oh my gosh, Angel." Vonnie burst through the door in tears. She ran past me hugging on Gio.

"Ou-fuck!" She eased off him wiping her tears.

"Sorry...I was so worried. They still won't let anyone see Jay." More tears poured down her face.

"I can't believe we are on bad terms right now," She continued. All Gio did was soothe her backside.

"Jay strong she'll pull through." I knew he was speaking to both of us.

"Where's your fiancé Ron? Is she okay?" I rubbed on my temples.

"She's ight." Gina texted me a while back letting me know they're home safe.

"Von give me and my boy a few to talk." She agreed kissing his cheek before leaving out.

"Bro you gotta call this wedding off."

"Not the only thing I need to do."

"And aye just like you told me if someone else's child is for you, go for it." He was right but damn I ain't expect this shit from me.

Mama Gnome interfered to check up on her son again.

"How's my baby feeling." She felt on his forehead checking his temperature.

"Mom you are not the nurses they got this." We laughed. She turned to me with glossy eyes.

"I overheard the doctors talking outside. I think Ajaya's out of surgery." She came to comfort me. "And if I was her I'll expect to hear from you, even if you two aren't together."

"How did you—" She shushed me.

"It doesn't matter how I know. What matters is that you fix it." The reason why I looked to her as a mother figure. I embraced her in a hug, then dapped Gio again, leaving out his room.

I roamed the halls for an RN or even a familiar face. Multiple people scattered in worried tears or anxiety for the worst.

"Aye where you going?" Lily approached me with a tear-stained face.
