"When are you going to tell them?"

"When the time is right child. Now I don't need you constantly in my ear about my health and what I choose to do." My aunt admitted herself to the hospital last night...chest pains.

"Auntie get treatments. I can't lose another person." A tear wanted to shed.

"Nobody's losing me yet Boop now you quit thinking that. I will go and eventually tell them. I'm just not ready to be sick y'know?"

"Yes, auntie but I just don't want you waiting until it's too late —" She interrupted me.

"You're right. And for that, I will start the chemotherapy treatments Harlem Health offered me." I was relieved. It was killing me knowing her secret and her not doing anything.

"Thank you, Auntie. I'm gone need you still. Twins will too more than ever."

"I know Boop I'm not going anywhere." I heard the doorbell ring on her end. "Ooo Boop Lisa's here. I'm going to talk to you some other time." We hung up our phone call and I slouched back on Lily's pullout scrolling through past notes.

"I'm home! Just for thirty-minutes though." Lily rounded the corner in her work uniform. She pulled out a 20oz bottle of club soda for me and went to her fridge for the bottle of Pink Moscato.

"Storytime bitch." I unloosened the cap and closed my laptop with all ears.

"So as I'm filling someone glass how about I overheard Kido has been seeing someone else." I rolled my eyes.

"So when he walked in with Jeron and that other guy Gio he stopped while they kept walking and came up to me." I sipped on my club soda.

"He like It's been a minute since I hit his phone. So I'm like it works both ways. So he said he was gone hit my line to link later on. I told him to link with that hoe." I burst out laughing making her laugh a little.

"I'm serious Jay. He acted all stunned like no nigga I caught that ass. So then he says she just an old friend and he's chilling. Like I'm confused because I thought me and him was talking."

"Did you ask him." She looked at me taking a sip from her bottle.

"Girl did I. When I asked he said he wasn't for sure cause we never talked about it." Kido a damn shame.

"See Kido need to get it together. He'll come around." She shrugged.

"I hope so because I need a date for this Engagement Party." My self conscious rolled her eyes. I almost forgot about that.

"Oh, that's tonight. Kido invited me...don't you think it's weird going to your ex's engagement?" She sucked her teeth.

"No bitch. Especially since you claim to be over him. And now it's a triple date perfect." I got confused.

"Wait I never agreed to go Lily." She checked the time getting ready to go back to work.

"Come on Jay you have to...well you don't have to but." She sucked her teeth. "Please for me. Your the only person I'll know besides Kido and Ron." She pleaded to the door.

"You'll think about it?" I sucked my teeth nodding my head.

After she left out I decided to get dressed and go somewhere myself. I was back in town and still bored out of my mind.

"Hey, Von." I got into my car starting it up.

"Vee told me you were in town. Why you didn't tell me?" I hesitated on an answer. Do I tell her that her brother is crazy? Do I tell her about my pregnancy? Everything was just happening too fast and the one person I wanted to vent so much to I felt like I couldn't.
