Omniscient P.O.V"We're glad you could make it. The gift table is to the left." Vonnie greeted everyone who came through the backyard.
"Aye, where Gio at?" Jeron placed an envelope in Vonnie's hand. A load of cash I bet.
"Thank you. He's on grill duty." He slid passed her as she continued to welcome people as they scattered around the yard.
Ron spotted Gio and made his way over to the grill station.
"Wassup bro. Congratulations." He held onto his little girl who rubbed at her eyes.
"Good looks man." Ron started to pick with the girl coddled in her dad arms.
"Hey, Skylar." She stared at him.
"You don't know your uncle now? Okay, when Christm—" her hands reached out to Ron.
"Uncle Won!" She giggled into his arms as he gave her a big hug.
"I missed you munchkin. Yo moms—" Gio cleared his throat shaking his head.
"Somebody said my grandbaby was back here!" Mama Gnome walked up taking her out of Jeron's hold. They looked so happy to see each other.
"Let me holla at you Gio."He lowered the lid to the grill before they walked off. Seventy-degree weather in December? Everybody stepped outside like it was the summertime.
"Wassup man." Ron eyed everyone around him.
"We got another snake on the inside. It's been chill lately but Harold recently received drop on that Jamaican hit."
"Word? Person calling shots know who we deal with. Didn't we just load equipment a month ago? When we dropping niggas." Gio tossed a football back in the direction the kids were playing in.
"Ain't that easy. Whoever this nigga is messing with the way I fucking make money now. But I'm gone show em who they fucking with."
"You seem calm about it. What you got up your sleeve?" They saw Kido enter the backyard. He held a small gift box who he gave to Von.
"We move amongst each other...ight?" Gio left it as is after he dapped him up. Kido made his way over to them dapping them up.
"Congrats man, this place nice. Aye, what's been up with y'all."
They shrugged."Just the same ole."
"Thanks, man. How's everything with you?" Kido scratched the back of his neck.
"Work on my mind. Who knows when this nigga next move is." Ron's eyebrow rose.
"I have been meaning to talk to you about that. We gone link later." Kido kept his signature smirk on his face. He left to catch up with other people who came.
"Aye how you been though," Gio asked. We walked around the yard interacting with folks who came.
"I've been ight since I called off that wedding if that's what you're wondering."
