Chapter 13: the truth...

The next day, after Dino and I had breakfast together, I had my training, but I couldn't focus, I knew I had to tell Mirage about my past and soon, cause tomorrow Mearing was going to tell him.

I stalked through the halls, towards his room and knocked on the door. He blinked in surprise "sia!?" He asked confused. "I need to talk to you!" I sighed. "I'm very busy!? Can it wait?" He asked.

"You probably need it for your... mission," I said. Dino stepped aside and let me in "alright...what's wrong?" He asked. I took a deep breath and turned around "I'm gonna tell you about my past... cause the one you're looking for is my grandmother," I said. Dino froze and looked shocked at me.

He gestured me to sit down and joined me quickly "alright... well I skip the whole part where my father died, cause it started after that..." I replied. He nodded and I saw he was shocked, but also showed compassion and affection.

"My father died in 2015 cause of an illness, and I think a year after that, my mother found a new partner, a scientist, he has two daughters, which makes me the oldest... in the beginning, it went really well, there was a click between us and my grandmother seemed to accept him... but that suddenly changed, I don't why or how... but it changed, she became very... sneaky," I said while thinking back.

"I did notice this of course, mostly because I was her favorite, and I was younger so I thought that she was right! Cause... she's the adult and sees things," I said. Dino bit his lip while listening to me. "Uhm... but it went downhill very quickly, she manipulated me, she tried to keep me with her most of the time, talked to be how bad he is... and I believed it all! A month before Christmas, I totally lost it, I don't know who was right and who was lying, I was between my mother and grandmother, both were trying to get me on their side, and I didn't know what to do... I was that day with my grandmother, and she told me I had to read a letter I wrote, you know me, I liked to write if I'm upset or anything, but she figured it out I wrote that and I read it for my mom... I can tell you... a big disaster! I ran off that night, I didn't know what to do anymore, I gave her a choice, it's me or your new friend, my grandmother encouraged me to run off and did..." I told him, not looking him in the eyes.

"My grandmother used me... to get money, she never cared about me, all she wanted was money, and my stepfather saw what she was doing and tried to make it stop, that's why my grandmother became so upset," I explained to him.

"For a long period, I didn't have any contact with my grandmother after my mother got me back, I started to feel better, until she started to stalk me... like... blocking my way with her car, yelling at me well anything that might get my attention, it upset me... cause most of the time, she's yelling at me... I would always take another route or take the car when I got my driver's license and the strange thing... it suddenly just stopped, in the beginning, I was confused, I mean... she's stalking me for so long... and she just stopped... well anyway, the stupid me thought that she finally accepted my choice... I seriously thought that... until last year..." I sighed. Dino softly rubbed my back to comfort me, it's sweet of him and I really appreciated he tried to comfort me.

"I'm not a very social person, you know that... but that day I decided to go out... after some complaining, I left the house... on my way back, it was dark and I just missed my bus, I didn't have the patience to wait, so I started walking... I had that strange feeling, someone was watching me, but I didn't really care about it, I was tired so I simply brushed it off and continued walking. To get to my home, I could walk around the park, or... I could walk through the park and even my mom tells me not to walk through the park when it's dark... I did, cause I wanted to go home as soon as possible, so... walked through the park and nothing happened until I came near a very small and dark path I used to take, I know that park completely so I didn't mind much, but someone, grabbed me from behind, with so much force, I broke my rib and blacked out...

I woke up in a cage, in a dark... I think warehouse or old factory, and that's the place where I saw my grandmother again, she found some help and it turned out crankcase captured me... but anyway, I was panicking and begged her to let me out and help me... do you know what she did? She looked at me... she was staring at me... and told me all she wanted to do was causing me pain... she said she was planning on betraying me a long time ago and with that, she wished me pain and turned around, leaving me for dead with the Decepticons, shockwave experimented on me, after I escaped, I lived in fear, cause the Decepticons are probably looking for me..." I said.

Mirage lifted my head and brushed a lost tear away "What happened isn't your fault! You couldn't have known she wanted to hurt you like this..." he said before wrapping his arm around me. "I know how it feels if someone betrays you!" he said softly. "She left me for dead!" I whispered. "On Cybertron... I had a best friend...Silverstriker... childhood friends, so I know him pretty good...he betrayed me and left me for dead, he almost killed me, he joined the Decepticons!" he said sadly.

I rubbed his back and leaned against him "I am sorry that happened to you," I whispered. Dino sighed and kissed my head softly "It's okay... guess we both have been through a lot," he said softly. I nodded "But... don't be scared to tell me this kind of things, I totally understand you... and I would never make fun of you!" he stated. I smiled at his friendly gesture "I never doubted about that... it's just hard to talk about it," I said. He brushed some hair out of my face "I know... I have the same... but I really admire your strength and courage!" he said, making me warm inside. "Really?!" I asked a little bit shy.

"You're used in experiments, by the Decepticons and now you joined our reinforcement, to fight against them, knowing they can catch you again! You're a strong and brave femme and I am serious about that! You're the bravest femme I have ever met and I am happy you told me this," he said firmly. I hugged him "Thanks Dino," I whispered. "hmm I know I have some of your books, which are very good..." he began. "that's not true!" I mumbled. "Yes, it is! Now stop with doubting about yourself!" he sternly said. "... but you have diaries right?!" he asked. "yup... do you want them?" I asked. "They can maybe help me... but only if you allow me to read them!" he stated.

I smiled and nodded "I trust you with it!" I said. He hugged me "One last question... no two!" he said. "go ahead!" I replied. "How old is your grandmother?"

"67..."

"Good... and how does the Energon affect you?!"

"I don't know... Optimus suggested me to visit Ratchet to see what he can find, it never really bothered me, sure sometimes I feel a burning sensation through my body, but it got less... Sometimes I even forget about it, if I die cause of it then so be it, I am not really scared of it," I replied. He looked concerned at me "Yeah... please visit, Ratchet!" he sighed. I smiled and nodded "I will... the books are under my bed, in the box!" I said.

Dino nodded and looked at me as I got up "If you have any questions, you can ask me, I trust you!" I said. Dino smiled and got up too "Thank you..." he whispered while brushing some hair out of my face. "See you tonight Bellezza!" he purred. I smiled and nodded, kissing his cheek with all the courage he had. He smiled and let go of me "Do I see you with dinner?!" I asked. Dino thought for a moment before he shook his head. "I have a patrol!" he sighed.

"But I am glad of what you did for me! You relieved me of a lot of stress!" he said with a big smile. "Yeah... I felt bad," I sighed. He smiled "Thank you!" He said. "Yeah... no problem! Good luck with your patrol Mirage!" I said. Dino nodded "thank you, Cassiopeia!" he said. I left and stalked over to my own room.
