Chapter 12:
^Tamara^
I don't know how meeting their parents is gonna go, but I have a bad feeling about it.
I looked to my left, seeing Ryan staring into the distance. He was probably thinking about his girlfriend... (Oh, no. Tamara, he already told you he has a girlfriend, you can't fall for him! He lied to you for God's sake, you can't trust him,) I thought to myself. He took a deep breath as I watched him, chest heaving slightly.
(In, out.)
(I am not trusting him again, nor am I going to fall for him. Never), I told myself, whispering the last part out loud.
"Never say never," Faith whispered in my ear, startling me.
I blinked a couple of times,
"Whoa, you scared me there."
We stayed silent for a while, lost inside our thoughts.
I spoke up after a while, "What would you do if you fell for Axel?"
"We don't know what the future holds for us," Faith said with pain in her eyes. One look at her response, and I knew she wasn't ready She's still not strong enough yet.
^Ryan^
We finally reached our house. It wasn't the fanciest - although we were rich enough afford a fancier house, we figured that we didn't need more attention than we already did.
"We're here," our driver informed us, and we all got out of the car.
"Welcome back!" My mom ran up to me and gave me a tight hug. She had happy tears in her eyes, relieved we were safe. It was only then I realized how lucky we were.
"Oh mom, don't cry."
Before we knew it, we were lost in hugs and kisses from our entire family. No one really noticed the girls yet, until Axel's father did.
He coughed, gesturing at Faith specifically.
"So that's the lovely future daughter-in-law of mine."
I glanced at Axel and saw him slightly blushing. I have never seen him blush before.
"I, uh..."
Axel shuffles closer to Faith and gives her a side hug.
"Dad, don't embarrass my girlfriend," he laughed, but his smile didn't reach his eyes.
Oh, Axel. What are you trying to do?
"What is a beautiful girl like you doing with a son like mine?" More chuckles.
Here we go again.
Faith kisses Axel on the cheek, saying, "Without him, I would've died! You should be proud you raised a son like him."
Wait, what?
