"We got presents." Selena yelled up the stairs. Everyone one walked to the living room were there were wooden boxes laying on the table. There were seven of them all marked with a green skull.

"What do you think it is?" Katie asked.

"Gear." Grim said.

"How do you know?" James asked as Grim opened the first one.

"It was my idea. We aren't hunters anymore, we are soliders. There is a war coming and we must be ready for it."

The skull on the box flashed and silver dust poured from it. It surrounded Grim and formed into his gear. Black and green camo pants, combat boots, and a tight green longsleeve. A black coat formed next, the collar up and trailing down to his shins. He had black gloves and a mask over his ears, nose and mouth.

"That looks cool." Nadia said.

A row of throwing knives were strapped to his shoulder and a strap going across his chest held black grenades with a green energy strip. Lastly he pulled an assault rifle from the box. He spun the the chamber in the center of it and checked the sight.

"Holy shit, what is that?" Katie asked.

"Odds are that we may have to split up sometimes, so this way we won't be defenseless without our partners. The chamber feeds of of energy and doesn't need magizines."

He checked the sight on it and put it on his back. It all faded away and he was dressed normally.

"I can't believe it's this bad." Ryan said as the others opened the boxes. They all received they're stuff and Grim cleared his throat.

"Things are going to take a turn for the worse and we don't know when."

"Do we know who is behind it?" Nadia asked.

"Yeah, an ancient demon that has been locked up since the beginning of human history, the first of her kind, Skyra. She is pure evil and will stop at nothing to turn this world into her personal playground."

They all looked stunned especially Nadia who already learned about her from Grim.

"Lord Death wants us to just go about our buisness and stay weary. Let's make sure this bitch stays were we belong."

They all nodded and as their gear dissolved they left the building. It was the last game of the season, so they were going to cheer James and Katie on. They were sitting in the stands watching. Nadia shivered and leaned against Grim. He put an arm around her.

"Aren't you worried about Katie?" Nadia asked.

"The only thing between me and Katie is a bed sheet and the fact that we are partners. We both agreed that it was a completely physical relationship."

"So she won't be mad if I did this?" She leaned in and kissed him. Her lips were soft and unlike Katie he felt her desire instead of primal lust.

"Actually she'd probably be into it."

"Really?"

"We all have our own ways with dealing with our problems, I write, Ryan plays amature psychologist, Elizabeth smoke, and Katie has tons of meaningless sex.

The band marched out on the field and chill creeped up his spine as they got into formation. They formed a circle with a star in the center. Suddenly the music died and the whole band stood there silently.

"Hello everyone, we have a special show planned for you."

Purple mist surrounded the woman speaking and the band started to glow. They screamed as the ground caved in underneath them. A hellish red glow eminated from the hole. Monsters and demons poured from the hole.
