It took longer than what they'd hope for to catch up with Hog and the ponies, but they found them. The three  weary companions now traveled along a proper  road, ahead of them two large dwarven statues, crafted with meticulous detail.

Silki looked up at them in awe as a horn was sounded opening large gates. She couldn't imagine how such small folk could open gates of such a size.

Then again, how could such small folk build a gate of that size. "The same way the carved the statues I suppose." Silki thought.

While scanning the gates as she passed through them, Silki's pulse started to race. This was it, she was here. She was going to find clues to find her fathers old friend - if not find his friend in the flesh.

Maybe he could give her answers as to were her father had gone.

Maybe.

Silki clutched at Hog's reigns, there was so much to see. The City was bussling, but not hectic. The dwarves seemed to be living peacefully going about their day in the mountain city.

"Like what you see? Welcome to Thorin's Halls, capital of the Blue Mountains." Fili said, Silki could hear the fondness and pride in his voice.

"Thorin's Halls? Who is Thorin?" Silki asked.

"Our Uncle and king - you've  not heard the stories? The tales? You're  a bard you must know." Kili questioned baffled.

Silki rubbed the back of her neck "well, I've not been traveling long. Only a few years really on my own. I'm just a basic bard. My father was the one who kept track of the tales of great wars and kingdoms." Silki said.

Her attention quickly lost by all the marvelous stone works and the grand jewelry the dwarf women wore....the very few dwarf women. Silki had heard that they were rarer but she'd  never imagined so few.

"I'm  more of a tavern bard. I sing nice songs to make the ale taste sweater, to calm the nerves or to smoke a nice pipe too." Silki confessed, her words lagging as she spoke completely distracted.

"We need to drop off the items we've traded, take the lute to our mother and then I will help you find what you came here for." Fili said.

Silki tore her eyes away from everything around her and gave the brothers a grateful smile. "I can just wonder about until you're  done, I can't intrude your buisness  any further." She said.

Kili chuckled "you'd  get lost." He said. "I'm  fairly  good at directions...if I've got a map." Silki mumured.

"I'm  sure," Kili chuckled, "but mother would like to meet the smith that crafted her new golden Lute." He added.

"Shouldn't you fix it first?" Silki asked.

"Nah, it's beautiful as is, even with a scratch and a few broken strings." Fili popped in.
