Normally I don’t dream, well I don’t remember my dreams but this time I remembered the whole thing. Me and Seth where at a park. It was beautiful. Having a picnic on the soft green grass. Sitting side by side you could never want anything better. A dark cloud appeared and drifted slowly towards us, we tried to out run it but we couldn’t. Eventually clouding around Seth pulling him in, the only thing keeping us together was out hands, “don’t let go” I shouted out exactly that same way I did when the accident happened “I won’t I promise, I’ll never let you go” he yelled back. I was tossing around in my sleep when I felt a hand touch the top of my head and slowly move down towards my neck then lift of back to the top of my head. I woke up in slight shock with my head in my arms still on Seths’ chest. I looked up slowly. “Hello princess” came a soft deep young voice. I paused, and looked towards Seth. Deep brown eyes stared straight into mine, he was awake. I was speechless. What I still dreaming? I started to cry I couldn’t believe my eyes. I sat up slowly keeping my eyes on him. He smiled “did you lose your speech or something?” he chuckled slightly. I shook my head, “well come here.” Holding out his arms towards me I moved slightly forward and laid down on the bed next to him. “Are you ok? How’s your arm?” he asked stroking my hair. “I'm alright. It’s you I'm worried about” I said turning my head to look at him. “you’ve been in a coma for a week,” he stared at me for a while before answering, “I was sleeping.” I sighed and snuggled back into his chest.
It was about 6:48 when the doctor came in. he was shocked that Seth was awake. He gave him a quick check over and said that he was looking fine and that he might be out in about a week or so. A wave of relief fell over me, I was so happy that he was going to be ok and that we could go back to normal. “Can you call my parents?” Seth asked the doctor just as he was about to open the door. “Yeah sure, I'm sure they’d be pleased to see you awake and well.” He opened the door and muffled something on his way out but I couldn’t make it out.
For that hour before his parents arrived all we did was sit and talk like we always did, but some of what we spoke about was more of a serious talk. For example we would joke about our future, getting married and having kids but he was way more serious about it. He asked questions like
“Would we ever get married?”
“What season would we get married in?”
“How many kids do you want and what would their names be?”
I was strange. I had never seen this side of him before. It was actually starting to scare me but it was sweet to hear him think about things like that and know that he sees me in the future.
There was a slight knock at the door when I could see his parents outside the window. Mrs. Payne came in first with the biggest smile. “Seth! my boy, your awake” I got up to let his mum closer to him. I decided to go out and leave him with his parents.
