It's mid-morning, light glistens through a large window, reflecting rainbow colors onto a white mat on a dark wooden floor.  A shadow floats into the room, followed by feet that are now standing in the way of the reflection. The reflection is now on the feet of a female figure, who is wearing black skinny jeans and a baggie grey shirt with an eagle printed on it. She was looking into a wooden mirror mounted on the wall in front of her; she glances at it constantly, tilting her head, trying to fix up her hair. Still playing with her hair she looks at her dresser, stops and picks up a necklace, it’s a wooden cross that was given to her by her father. Playing with the cross in her hand for a few seconds she thought about the day ahead of her and how in only twenty minutes or so the love of her life would be arriving. She put the necklace back down, picked up her phone and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.

About fifteen minutes pass and the girl was back in her room, playing on her piano. A car pulled up in her driveway, but she didn’t notice. A male figure stepped out of the car and walked up to the front door, he knocks twice, but there is no answer. Just as he was about to knock a third time the mother of the girl stepped out from the other room and opened the door. She smiled and greeted him warmly, "She’s in her room," she told him, walking toward a corridor and pointing to a door on her left. "Thank you," he replied, smiling. He stepped up to the door - it was slightly ajar and he could see the girl playing her piano and singing along to the music. He quietly opened the door and stepped into the room without a sound, slowly walking up to the girl, listening to the music. With a cheeky grin he quickly placed his hands over her eyes. "Guess who?" he asked. She stopped playing and grabbed his hands, trying to pull them away from her face. He gave in, letting her take his hands away.

She looked up at him and smiled. "Hello stranger," she answered with a fake English accent. He laughed and kissed her forehead. "So, you ready to go?" He asked, holding her hand while she got up out of her seat. "Yeah just let me get my wallet." She said, reaching to her desk. He pulled her back toward him, spinning her into his arms and catching her as she lost her balance. "I’m paying for today," He told her. With a sigh she agrees, she didn’t want to start an argument, with the lovely day ahead of them. He gave in and let her take his hands away.
