"Shit." Dean mutters. He turns around to try and run but a soldier already grabs him, pinning him to the floor. Dean tries to fight back but it's no use. He cries out in pain when one twists his arm back.

"Where are they?"

"Where- Where's who?" Dean asks, growling.

"You know what I'm talking about! The heir!"

They're looking for Jack. "Not here!"

"Then where is he?"

"I-" He needs to come up with something, fast. "I-I lost them.. second trimester.."

"Bullshit! It was announced he was born!"

"That was only so no one sent me flowers! It was per my request." Dean lies. "Now just fuckin end it already, why don't you.." He closes his eyes, waiting.

"No.. we're not gonna kill you." He smirks.

Dean frowns. "Why? Just do it? Please, just do it now!"

Everything goes dark, he's knocked out.

Castiel wakes up, still chained to the wall. This is his twenty-sixth day here. His only thoughts about Dean. He only hopes he's okay. Cas knows they've probably told him they haven't seen the prince in a few weeks, meaning he's dead. The alpha hopes Dean doesn't believe them, doesn't give up hope.

The cell door opens, a man named Crowley opening it. Cas doesn't look at him. Crowley smirks,

"I know, you don't like being cooped up in here. It's not fun." Cas doesn't respond. "It's gross and dank, smells of rot and piss."

"Go to hell."

"I'm already here, sweetheart. Now, a few days ago we caught something. Well, someone, more-like." The demon smirks. "I'm sure you know him, of course, his name is written on your chest."

Cas can't breathe. They have Dean. They took Dean.

"We wanted the heir as well but, he claims he lost the baby second trimester."

No.

"But it was announced-"

"He also says they did that so he wouldn't get sympathy from the kingdom."

"No.." His eyes fill with tears.

"The poor guy was begging for death when we had him pinned down."

"No, no! Let him go! Leave Dean alone!"

"I'm afraid I can't do that." Crowley says, starting to leave the room.

Castiel growls deep, "When the king finds out-"

"The king is dead, Castiel. There is no ruler of heaven. You have lost."

The door closes, and Cas feels as though his world had crashed. His father is dead. Their baby was never born. And Dean is already begging for it all to be over. He looks to the floor, silently crying.

He looks up when he hears movement, a few guards. They're holding someone and bringing them to the cell across from him. It's Dean. They drop him in the cell and lock the door, walking away.

Castiel can't believe he's seeing him again, he though he never would.

"Dean! Dean wake up, it's me! I'm here! Dean!"

He tries calling to him for what seems like hours but Dean doesn't wake up. The only sign he's alive is his chest moving up and down. Cas falls to the ground, wings falling with him. He gives up. Dean can't hear him.

Around ten minutes later he hears movement, signaling Dean is awake. He sees him look around in a panic, not sure where he is and what's going on. He seems to look right at Castiel, but he doesn't see him.

"Dean!" Cas calls out, trying to move closer to him but the restraints holding him back. He quickly falls to the floor.

Dean wakes up with a headache on a dirty floor, it was wet and smelled bad. Except there was one familiar smell. A scent that drove him crazy, a scent he hasn't smelled in years.

Cas.

It's faint but he knows it's him. If he's not here now he was here recently. It fuels him with hope. He looks around, clasping the feather of his necklace in his hand, for any sign of his love. Dean notices an empty cell in front of him, which is odd due to every other cell being full of captured soldiers. You'd think they'd make room.

Dean backs up to the back wall of the cell, opening his locket to see the photos of Cas and Jack. A tear runs down Dean's cheek as he closes the locket.

He hopes Jack is okay, same with Sam and Gabriel. Dean hopes they're alive, not hurt. He also hopes Charlie and Jo are fine. He didn't see them that morning, they might have been out at the time of the attack. He just wants them all to be okay.

His cell door opens, a short man dressed in black standing there. Dean looks at him nervously. The man speaks, "Good morning, Mr. Winchester. My name is Crowley."

Dean doesn't respond.

"God, you two really are soulmates huh."

That grabs Dean's attention. "Is he here? Alive?"

Crowley smirks. "Alive? Why do you question that?"

"I was told he's dead.." Dean says sadly.

Crowley sighs. "Is his name still on your chest?"

"Yes.. Why do you ask?"

"When a soulmate dies, the soulmate mark fades. It fades until it looks like a scar, it's no longer black. If they're dying slowly, it fades slowly until they're dead. If they die right away, it's faded in an instant. You see?"

Dean nods.

"As long as the name is still on your chest in rich black, they're okay."

Dean's eyes waver on the floor. "Why are you telling me this? You're the one that took me captive, why aren't you a dick?"

"Well, if I'm being honest, you two are each other's weaknesses. We can use it against you."

So he is alive. And he's here.

"Where is he?"

"Oh like we'd tell you that.."

"Please I need to see him," Dean begs. "I haven't seen him in years just- just let me see him at least once! Even just his voice, just let me hear his voice anything pl-"

Crowley grabs him by the neck, holding him up against the wall. "Do you ever shut up?"

Dean's trying to pull his hands away, surprised by his strength. He's gasping for breath. Crowley looks down and notices the necklace.

"Oh? What's this?" He lifts it up with his finger, noting the feather and the locket. Crowley opens the locket, seeing the picture of Castiel. "Aww, a picture of your little boyfriend huh?"

He then notices the other picture, of a blonde toddler. He looks at it curiously when it clicks. He let's go of Dean, the omega gasping for breath on the floor. "You lied! The child lives!"

The demon kicks Dean in the stomach, making Dean cry out in pain. Crowley holds him up by his hair. "Where is he? What have you done with him!"

Dean growls at him, mouth bloody. "Eat me."

Crowley yells in anger, throwing him to the floor. He exits the room, slamming the cell door shut and locking it. Dean winces as he tries to get up, looking at the photos in his locket. He starts crying when he see's Jack's,

"Fuck.." He mutters, realizing how much he's fucked up.
