Castiel heard everything. Their child is alive, and Dean knows that Cas is alive. It's relieving but he still wants to talk to Dean. Dean can't see or hear him, yet Cas can. Dean just wants to at least hear his voice, and Cas just wants to talk to him. He wants to hold him close and say he's sorry. He promised he'd come back okay and safe. But he's been in captivity for weeks, tortured and beaten. He's not okay and safe.God, he wishes he could just hug Dean, kiss him all over. He wants to smell the apple pie and vanilla. He hasn't smelled it in years. He misses it so goddamn much. He's missed Dean so much.
He's been watching Dean in his cell all day, most of the time he stares blankly or sleeps, but occasionally he cries. And it breaks Cas' heart. Castiel does still have his photo, he has to hide it though. It's under a stone. He looks at it every once an awhile, it makes him feel better. Knowing he has someone to go home to, something to look forward to.
But does he even have a home to go to now?
If he manages to escape, to get out of Hell, is Heaven still intact? The king, his father, is dead. Castiel is not there to rule, nor is Dean. He's sure Sam and Gabriel have run off, but even if they remained in the kingdom they wouldn't be fit to rule.
Then his mind sets on Sam and Gabriel. How they've been? If they've mated? Do they have their kid? And from what he heard Crowley say, they're a boy. He has a son. He and Dean have a son. He remembers the name he chose before he left, for if they were to have a son what would they name him.
Jack. His name is Jack.
Castiel has to push down his happiness, save it for another time. He has to find a way to get out of the cell. The only restraints he has are handcuffs that are attached to the floor, which don't look like they'll be budging any time soon.
He ponders, looking around for anything, maybe a rock, to break the chains. His eye lands on a loose stone in the wall. He reaches for it, having to stretch and even then only just barely being able to grab it. He's about to pull it towards him when he hears familiar footsteps. Cas moves back to his original spot, wings fluffed up from anxiety.
Crowley walks up to his cell, another man next to him. The prince watches the two carefully, trying to hear what they're saying.
"You're a professional in this stuff, Alistair. Get it out of him." Crowley says.
'Alistair' nods his head, turning to Dean's cell and walking in. Crowley goes to Castiel's cell, smirking when he sees the alpha's angry glare. If only looks could kill.
"So, Castiel." Crowley speaks. "My good friend, Alistair, is going to help find your son for you. Isn't that fun?" Cas's glare hardens. "Oh, yes. I'm sure you already know, your son is alive and well. Though your bitchy omega refuses to tell where he is." The demon sighs dramatically. "If only he'd told us when he had the chance, hadn't lied to us right in the face," Crowley turns to Dean's cell, smiling. "Then he wouldn't have to go through this."
Cas looks over to the cell, eyes widening when he see's Alistair walk over to Dean. "What are you having him do?" Crowley clicks his tongue, gazing into the other cell with excitement. "Crowley you son of a bitch, what are you going to do to him!" Castiel questions, voice lathered in anger and worry.
Crowley doesn't reply, he only keeps looking in that direction. When he sees Alistair grab Dean, he goes into a sort of defensive mode. He doesn't remember how he managed to get out of his restraints, or how he managed to push Crowley against the cell wall. But it happened. Castiel growls at the short man, arm to his throat mirroring what he did to Lucifer all those years ago.
Crowley calls out for help along with hoarse pleas to be released. Castiel only growls harder in response. Soon guards come and tear Castiel off of Crowley, pushing him to the floor. One of them tried punching him to knock him out but the prince dodges, making an attempt at the door. The second guard grabs one of his wings and throws him back, which brought him to the wall. He hits his head on the rock behind him and blacks out, falling to the floor not too long after the hit.
Crowley glares at the alpha. "Stupid Castiel." He then walks out with both of the guards, not caring to chain the angel up again.
Dean completely lost his focus on Alistair. He could only stare at the open cell door, the one that was supposed to be empty. Alistair noticed Deans inability to stop looking at the cell across from his. He groans,
"Sir! The bitch knows.." The demon calls out.
Crowley smells of sulfur, the scent growing stronger as he gets angrier. "Great. Just great." He waves off Alistair, who sighs and takes his hand off the sharp blade he was just about to use.
Dean huffs after Alistair drops him, walking out and locking his cell door. The omega quickly crawls to the bars of his cell, holding onto them. He heard what Crowley said. The stupid demon forgot to close the cell door all the way. He heard it all. He heard him.
Dean can't help the smile that grows on his face. He's okay. Well, maybe not okay; but he's alive. He can see him again.
Dean blushes when he recalls how defensive Castiel was of him. God he missed his voice. He's wanted to hear it for so long, how his name would roll off his tongue, how calming and yet seductive it was, how beautiful it sounded. The omega crawls into a corner of the cell and smiles to himself.
