Governor Fritz sits in his office reading a multiple number of articles on his computer screen. One article that completely catches Fritz's attention is titled, "Civil War On The Rise". Governor Fritzs begins to recall all of the events that led up to the present day when his vid phone starts to ring. He closes the articles and would pick up the phone right away.
"Hello there Governor Fritz." Ares says as the virtual line picks up.
"Ares? Is everything alright? Where are you and Tasca?" Fritz
"Remember that precaution we talked about off the record?" Ares
"Yes I do." Fritz
"Well as it turns out, we were right on the money. If its alright with you we'd like to carry out a mission against the group that's been causing havoc." Ares
"Have you aquired intel on their whereabouts?" Fritz
"Just a moment ago actually." Ares
"What kind of mission?" Fritz
"Sabotage." Ares
"Oh? Do tell." Fritz
"There seems to be a device that is meant to go off at a certain time. And if the intel is correct, it will send off a chain reaction that'll take out the entire city." Ares
"Oh? How so?" Fritz
"How so?" Ares
"It sends massive shockwaves that loosens the hardened crust underneath forcing anything above the area to give away." Tasca
"It makes tremors." Ares
"I see... Well if you think that you can do it then by all means. Should I initiate an evacuation?" Fritz
"Not neccessary. Anything like that could cause them to trigger the device way ahead of schedule. Let us do this, that way they won't get trigger happy and we can avoid mass genocide without causing too much of a fuss." Ares
".... Very well. I'll leave this matter in your capable hands. I expect good results my friend." Fritz
"And I hope to deliver. Ares out." Ares says cutting communications.
Ares gets up from his seat and makes his way over to Tasca who stands over their beaten and bruised hostages who are tied to chairs.
"You're way too sciencey for me." Ares
"Is that why you understood what I said and dummed it down for Governor Fritz?" Tasca
"... Hmm." Ares
"....... Do you not understand how you understood what I said?" Tasca
Ares doesn't answer but shrugs his shoulders instead. Tasca simply takes a deep breathe and shakes her head.
"You didn't kill him did ya?" Ares
"Nah. He's just taking a nap." Tasca
"Cool. We should get started as well. This apartment got any weapons?" Ares
"Move that picture to the right over there." Tasca says pointing to the very large and confusing painting on the wall.
Ares walks over, slides the large painting and the wall shifts around revealing a large assortment of weapons.
"...... It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas~." Ares
Both Ares and Tasca equip themselves with the appropriate equipment and move out to their destination. An abandoned looking building is the main location where the entrance to the underground device begins. On the outside the building looks run down but on the inside their are a small number of guards dressed in regular clothes walking about in patterns. There are other people that are moving crates into separate small rooms that turns out to be lifts that go down to the secret underground factory where the tremor device is located. Once the lifts come to a stop, the people move the crates and place them in a pile along with the others off to the side. After a while the top of the two most recent crates carefully lifts up just enough for Ares and Tasca to peek through. They both scan the area, give each other a nod, carefully climb out of their crates and duck into a empty room.
"Well. We did expect a hell of a lot of people right?" Ares
"Even so there's something thats bothering me." Tasca
"What's that?" Ares
"With all these people down here... How long would it take to evacuate? The info we got from those two goons said that the device would be activated tonight but it doesn't look like they're pack up to leave. More like they are still moving in." Tasca
".. Yeah. Not to mention the attire." Ares
"What do you mean?" Tasca
"It could be nothing but everyone up top and down here are wearing very different attire from the suits that tried to snatch us up. It could mean nothing but..." Ares
"Never count anything out.... We better get searching if we want to find that device." Tasca
Just then, the wall on the other side of the room starts to move and it catches both Ares and Tasca's attention. The wall shifts and opens up revealing a hidden entrance with a handful of armed personnel walking through. They scan the room, walk towards the door and exit the room. Ares and Tasca quickly move from behind of a desk and head straight into the hidden entrance just before it closes. They both move down the corridor and come to another opening where a massive machine takes up the entire room with scientists and engineers all around it.
"I think we just hit the jackpot yeah?" Ares
"I'd say so. This has been quite easy hasn't it?" Tasca
"..... Oh no you didn't." Ares
"What?" Tasca
"Why would you jinx our stroke of good luck? That's practically suicide." Ares
"Really? There is no such thing as luck." Tasca
"Bite your tongue young lady." Ares
Both Ares and Tasca glance over each other's shoulders to notice a large group of shadows slowly close in from both sides and they both grab hold of their weapons.
"Still believe in luck?" Tasca
"Yup. This my baby sister, is called rotten luck.... I wonder how Doc Lita and Senna are doing." Ares
Over at the medical research facility, Miyuki has already started the medical process and has been sedated while inside of the H.F.P.
"His vitals are reading normal." Lita
"It also looks like the procedure is going smoothly! The nanytes are carefully expelling the red mist through his pores and its being captured in the liquid." Weq
"And thanks to the filter system the red cloud is being contained in those liquid viles without affecting anyone. This H.F.P. is quite remarkable Professor Weq." Lita
"Your praise is very much appreciated Doctor Lita." Weq
A short while later, gunshots are heard from the outside of the building and it catches everyone's attention.
"The hell?" Lita says as she and Weq head for the window.
They look down to the ground floor where they see five black vehicles parked in front of the entrance and have armed men in white suits pouring out of them.
"What in the world is going on down there?!" Weq
"Professor.... I do believe that it is about to get quite hectic in here." Lita
