Third Person's POV

She didn't hope for a happy life but the least she hoped for was a peaceful life and respect. But it seems like no good was written in her life. As always she played a silent song on her phone before starting to arrange her clothes in the wardrobe. No matter how boring work is or how long it may take, music always helps her to do her work with ease. And silent music is always her companion.

She didn't want any interruption in her only peace but has ever anything as her wish that it will happen now? Her tiered self in the middle of her was questioned by her husband. What she had thought that she would complete her work fast and go to sleep? Though she came to their room escaping his angry gaze but now she was all alone with him. She didn't want to agree, but she was very scared of his fuming face. "What did you say to Ajji?" He repeated the same words with fuming eyes.
"What are you talking about? I didn't tell anything to Ajji." She said, moving her eyes to her sides and finding herself caged in between his arms.

"Oh really?" He chuckled sarcastically.
"You are an expert in faking innocence, aren't you? How can you do it so smoothly?" He scoffed. Faking innocence? She was again hurt by his thoughts on her. She decided she wouldn't give any specifications to him. Placing both her hands on his chest, she tried to just him away from her. She tried, but he didn't budge from his place. Along with the silent music playing, the room was filled with the sound of her green glass bangles clinking together and the pleasant chan-chan sound of her anklets indicating the presence of a woman, his wife. How wonderful it feels to hear such sounds from a man's room, but unluckily these feelings felt like punishment for him. The things said by his Grandma made him regret his decision to marry her more.

It was about the time when Mallika and Nahush came into the living room after changing to have family time. Nahush sat beside his lovely Granny when his Granny talked to him about his married life, to which he listened without interrupting her though he didn't want to hear anything related to Mallika. "Bala (बाळा ~ baby), I know you are newly married, you need time to know each other and that can happen only if you have a conversation with your wife. That child has left her family, her everything, and came along with you considering your family hers. All she needs is at least your care if not, love. 'If only you knew her truth, Ajji, you wouldn't have said this.'
"A girl may not tell what she wants. It's her husband's duty to try to understand what his wife needs." She said, placing her hand on his.

Take your time to know her but don't forget your duty as a husband." She said with a hint of something else.
"Ajji, I won't forget my duty." He simply said not understanding the hint behind his granny's words making her face palmed.
"Listen bal (बाळ), try being her friend, behave as a boyfriend, get intimate with her- She was cut by Nahush.
"Ajji, stop!" he said, being embarrassed. His granny is way too bold. It's rare to have such a frank grandma but talking about such things with his granny is still uncomfortable.
"What's there to be shy, beta (child)? It happens between every couple." She said the same line that she told Mallika the same morning.

"There are some expectations every wife has from her husband. How can she tell that freely to her husband? It's a husband's duty to understand and fulfill all the needs of his wife." She said, looking at her grandson with a mischievous smile who was looking at Mallika. She just wanted to get them close. She just wished to play with her great-grandchild for that she said such things, but she didn't know the words she told out of her innocent wish may create a misunderstanding in-between them. In her great-grandchild's dream, she failed to see the glares Nahush was passing towards Mallika. 'It's not even been a week of her cheating my friend, and she wants me to fulfill her needs. I knew she was a liar, a cheater, a greedy girl, but I didn't know her this side. Disgusting!'
