"Elena!" I turn around to see Caroline running towards me. Her blonde hair is a mess and her cheeks are red. "So Tyler is throwing a party tonight, wanna come?" she asks me with a cheeky grin. I don't know what to say. I want to go but I have a biology test that I have to study for and there is no way my parents will allow me to go to a party. "Um I'm sorry Care, I don't think I can make it," I try to explain. " I have this huge biology test on Monday and I haven't studied for it yet. Oh, and my aunt is coming over for dinner." Caroline looks at me suspiciously and frowns. "Lies! You're not allowed to go parties, huh?" she gives me a knowing look, then smiles. "Just sneak out of your house! It'll be totally worth it!" I don't know what to do. The party sounds like fun. I've been to birthday parties and stuff but I've never been to an actual party with alcohol and music and dancing. Caroline gives me a small smile. "Just think about it okay? You don't have to sneak out. I can talk to your parents and convince them we're going to have a sleepover, just you me, Bekah and Lexi. They'll never know about the party."

I keep thinking about what Caroline said. She can't talk to my parents because then my dad will find out that I still talk to her. If I get caught sneaking out, I'll probably be grounded for life. It's just a party, right? If I ask my parents for permission to go, they'll say yes, right? No, they won't. I'm their little girl, they don't want me anywhere near those big bad teenagers. My parents drive me crazy sometimes! How am I supposed to have fun when everything that is fun isn't allowed?

I spend my evening as a usually do, first I study, then I eat dinner with my family, after that I go up to my room for the night. I'm still thinking about what I should do. A party sounds pretty fun. Fuck it, I'm going. I quickly change into a pair of light blue jeans and a tight fitting black T-shirt. It's not fancy but it's nice enough. I put on a bit of makeup and take a deep breath. Oh dear, I'm really doing this. I can't sneak out of the front door, my parents are watching tv in the living room. I walk to my window and open it. I could try to use the ivy that's growing on the side of the building to climb down. I crawl out of the window and grab the plant and start climbing to the ground. By the time my feet touch the grass I'm panting like crazy. I grab my phone that was in my back pocket and type in Tyler's address. It's a 5 minute walk, which is good. The darkness is freaking me out a bit. Chill out Elena, it's exactly the same road you take every day to school only a bit darker. I walk up to Tyler's huge front door. I can hear the music blaring and see the multicolored strobe lights through the window. I knock on the door. It's answered by Tyler. "Elena! You came! Caroline said you might come but nobody thought you'd actually show." he gives me a dashing smile. I can smell the alcohol and smoke on him from where I'm standing. "No offence," he adds "I'm glad you came!" I follow him into his house. This looks crazy. Perhaps this wasn't such a good idea.

Uh oh, Elena, don't get into trouble!

So as you already know I decided to rewrite this story. I wasn't happy with where it was going an tbh I didn't have any motivation to keep writing it. (it was also super boring) This is the first full chapter that I've written sice December. (it is now April 2020) Please feel free to leave your opinion and tips!
