After shifting a few more demons that were lingering, Gregory and I flew to the dungeons, swiftly flying over the crowds for the most important threat. "What do you think she's up to?"
Before I could respond we flew into Orion who was running towards us, "Why aren't you with with Rone?" I hissed, this is not the time to be losing people.
"Raven broke out, and somehow lured Rone out of the room, he knocked me unconscious."
"How long ago?" I demanded as my wings went rigid.
"Ten minutes ago maybe."
I immediately took off through a broken window, Gregory following swiftly I scanned the outside of the palace as well as I could, every second Rone was gone I started to panic, cave in. "If she hurts him, I will kill her myself," I growled as I flew up higher. My wings ached, but I didn't care, this night was going to end with Ravens death once and for all.
"Over there, in the empty fields," I didnt wait a second before my wings took off full speed toward Raven who was running into the woods with Rone on a stolen grey horse. As if reading my mind, Gregory snatched Rone from the back of the horse, dumping him far enough away. His iron dagger gleamed in his hand as he went for Raven, only for her to strike back with a black frosting mist. It traveled through Gregory's body, seizing him still mid air. Choosing to let Raven bask in her short lived glory, I went to break his fall. He landed on top of me, bringing us both painfully to the ground. My head hit the ground hard, causing my head to spin in circles. I tried focusing my eyes on Ravens horse, thrusting my hand before me. Flames as tall as the giant trees at the edge of the forest encircled Raven and her horse.
Gregory helped me up as we made our way to Raven, the fire parted its ways for me and Gregory to walk through, its heat caressing my body. Raven dismounted her horse, somehow she seemed strong, like I had never stripped her magic. "How did you get out?" I asked her clenching one of my swords tightly.
"If you think a lousy cage and a weak spell could keep me contained then you are beyond mistaken, Sister." Her lips snarled up, her dark hair framing her perfectly heart shaped face. "All it took was some traditional magic, dream walking. Theirs always a loophole in magic, your too stupid to find it," she grinned.
"What a man," Raven purred. "If a fight is what you want, you could have just said so, you Fae are no match against your creator."
"I dont claim you," Gregory said calmly raising his dagger, "I'll make sure your death is remembered, celebrated."
"Thanks," Raven snarled sarcastically. I was two steps ahead of Raven as she thrust out her hand, sending flames from the ring of fire at Gregory. I stopped them before they even made it close to Gregory, as easy as breathing. "I guess I have underestimated you, Nadia." My powers felt at full peak, I felt invincibly, capable.
