Wrapping his arms around her entire body, Ye Hua stood staunchly facing both her father and Zhe Yan in particular who was looking as if he could kill. Having no idea what had been said between the two men, or rather, what excuse Zhe Yan had given her father for what she had done, Ye Hua said nothing, but the look on his face, said he was not letting him anywhere near her, family or not.

It was also obvious that very little time had passed in their world seeing as Zhe Yan was still in the same state he was in when they left, while it was also obvious that they had been in the Mortal Realm, because rather than looking like death on feet when he first arrived at the den, Ye Hua looked healthy, happy and very much alive.

"Little Kit. I want a word with you." Zhe Yans voice grated angrily over her father who was by that stage storming towards them.

"Give her to me!" he snapped the rod against the inside of his palm threateningly while also making it clear to Ye Hua that he would not allow for disobedience.

"Father Bai, I think there might be things you are unaware of." Ye Hua began only to clamp his mouth shut when Bai Qians hand slapped over his mouth to quieten him.

"Ye Hua no." she warned him. If her father learned of what Ye Hua ad Zhe Yan had done, they would both die that day.

"What's to tell him?" Zhe Yan asked angrily. The lump she had left him with, was now aching against his sack and having been roughed up violently by Bai Zhen, he just wasn't thinking straight.

"You stupid rooster, do you really want father to know what you did!" she screeched at him only to jump when the rod suddenly snapped against Ye Huas palm having raised it to prevent her father from striking her.

"Insolence!" Bai Zhi snapped angrily only to jump himself when her mother snatched the rod out of his hands and smacking him against the head with it, before ordering them all back into the den for a talk.

Terrified of her father, and beyond angry with Zhe Yan seeing as he had either lied to her father or left out important details of what had really happened, Bai Qian was not feeling obedient or filial and being tightly bundled up in Ye Huas powerful arms, she also felt invisible.

"I'm not going anywhere near that scandalous reprobate!" she yelled at both men before turning an angry glare at her mother.

Very rarely in all of her life had she ever disobeyed her mother, so the look on her face was rather comical to the men who had all stopped to stare in awe at her.

Taking the few steps towards her very slowly, her mothers small smile and hooded eyes were more frightening to Ye Hua than the rod in Bai Zhis hand and Bai Qian could literally feel the tremble in his body as she drew her closer.  In fact, she could almost feel her father trembling as her mother stopped in front of her and leaned in over her face.

"I know you did not mean any disrespect, but I am close to losing what little patience I have left.  Now, you either take yourself inside, or I will....."

"We're going!" Ye Hua cut in over the top of her and scooting to the side before almost running them both indoors with her father and Zhe Yan in quick persuit.

Turning back to the den slowly, The Empress took a deep breath as she watched her soon to be son in law rushing them all into the den, and for a moment, her small smile rose, but having spent the past few hours listening to Zhe Yan ranting on about her mischievous daughter who had somehow become entangled in a mess of debauchery and wickedness which he might or might not have had something to do with, her patience really was at breaking point.  And no sooner were they all inside and her daughters voice screaming insults, then she quickly threw up a barrier around the entire den.  Whatever was said, would not be heard by outsiders.
