~ Today ~
I stormed away from her, but I could still hear her timid footsteps following me. When I glanced back, Hendrix wasn't leading her, and she was walking around blind, trying to follow where I was going. I huffed, and stopped walking and finally turned to look at her.
"What is it Meg?" I asked, and even I could notice that when I talked to her, my voice was a shit-ton more gentle than it was just a minute ago.
"Are you okay?" She asked as she froze, a good five feet away from me, and pointed about thirty degrees to my left.
"No." I mumbled, and took a few steps forward and touched her forearm so she would know where I was, and she instantly adjusted, and when she almost looked me in the eyes with her strange, yet beautiful eyes, I almost didn't hear what she said.
"Can I do anything?"
"No, you can't come with us. It's too dangerous." I hissed, and she rolled her eyes, something I honestly had never seen her do before and it was... different.
"I wasn't going to offer to come. That would just put everyone in more danger, and make your focus be on protecting me and not looking for Merle. Is there anything I can do here?" I couldn't help the tiny little smile that forced its way onto my face. I wanted to hide it, even though I knew she couldn't see it, I somehow felt like she could tell shit like that.
"Just... can you skin the squirrels? And make sure you and your boy don't get yourselves killed while I'm gone okay? No more running around in the woods. That goes for him to kay? Tell him. No more going into the woods without me. It's stupid." She nodded, and then she threw herself at me.
The crazy woman almost hit me in the face with her freaking arm in the process, but I shifted just in time so that she wrapped her arms around my neck instead of my shoulder, and when she pressed her face into my shoulder I realized for the first time how short she actually is.
"Please be careful." She mumbled. I wasn't even able to unfreeze and hug her back before she let go, turned around, and walked away, calling for Hendrix as she went.
Huh...
Crazy woman...
A/N: I know, short tidbit compared to the last chapter, but I wanted to give you some of Daryl's POV, and the next chapter is going to be a flashback so I had to end it here!
I hope you all enjoyed it and I will update some more tomorrow! Well... I guess really, later on today!
PS. I FUCHING HATE THAT I KEEP FORGETTING TO ADD A TITLE BEFORE I POST IT. IT'S DRIVING ME UP THE FUDGING WALL.
