A/N: Before we get started, I have officially passed two of my three courses for this quarter! Yay! I have my last final on Monday, so I'm not sure how much I'll update between now and then, but I'm chilling out since I took two finals today so that I could write this! So, enjoy, and don't forget to vote/comment/follow/whatever!

~ Today ~

I hadn't spoken to Daryl since early this morning. Honestly, I haven't really talked to anybody. Shane and Lori had it out this morning over a voice from the radio. Apparently someone was going into town and they didn't seem like they knew how dangerous it was and Lori wanted to go out and warn them, but Shane wasn't having it.

He didn't handle it right, but in my opinion he was right. I mean, we are already short six people, seven if you include Daryl who still isn't back from his hunt. We needed everyone here.

Glenn took out a group this morning, before the sun even came up, to go to the city and get some things that would hopefully make it easier for everyone to survive out here. Merle, Andrea, Jacqui, Morales, and T-Dog all went, leaving all of us here with barely any protection.

Yeah, Daryl and Shane are great, but Daryl is gone. Leaving us with Shane, Carol's husband who I've never heard do anything that involved getting off his ass, and Jimmy and Dale. Both are nice guys but let's be honest. They're not T-Dog, Morales, or Merle.

They had been gone for awhile, but it wasn't until a little after lunch that we heard anything from them. The radio, which was sitting by me where I was sitting on the ground sorting through mushrooms, judging simply by shape and feel, went off, letting out a squawk that made me jump.

"Hello, base camp! Can anybody out there hear me? Base camp, this is T-Dog. Anybody hear me?" I dropped the mushrooms into my lap, and grabbed the receiver that had been sitting on my leg, just incase anyone called.

"Hello? T-Dog? Is that you? Are you all okay?" I rushed out, nervous as I heard feet thud around me, and I curled in on myself a little, expecting for someone to grab the receiver from me, but no one did. They simply stood there, silently waiting for an answer.

"Meg? That you?" T-Dog asked, and I squealed.

"Is that them?" Lori asked from somewhere above me, but I didn't even bother deigning her with a response as T-Dog started talking again.

"We're in some deep shit. We're trapped in the department store." The voice coming through was definitely T-Dog, but it was warped, due to the static coming through as well.

"He said they're trapped?" Shane rumbled from above me, but I focused on T-Dog's words, trying to make out what he said.

"There are geeks all over the place. Hundreds of 'em. We're surrounded." I could feel my eyes watering, but I forced myself to say something.

"Do you have a plan? Is there any way out?" I asked, but all that came back was static.

"T-Dog? T-Dog are you there?" Static.

"He said the department store." Lori mumbled above me as the static filled the empty space around me.

"I heard it too." Dale agreed.

"Shane?" Lori whispered, but I already knew what he was going to say.

"No way. We do not go after them. We do not risk the rest of the group. Y'all know that."

"So we're just gonna leave her there?" Amy cried, and I felt for her, but it wasn't just Andrea we were leaving to die.

"Look, Amy, I know that this is not easy..." Shane tried, but Amy cut him off.
