I sit in class bored out of my mind. This guy did this, this guy did that. Why does history have to be so boring sometimes? Wanting to just bang my head repeatedly on my desk i lay my head down in my hands. " Wake up" my teacher shouts at me. I pick my head up as everyone laughs at me. The bell rings and i pick my backpack up from the ground and sling on strap on my shoulder. I then hurry out of class into the crowded hallway. " Hey silent whore," one guy says to me. I walk faster so i don't have to listen to his shit but yet another guy steps in front of me. " Whats wrong silent whore?" the guy asks. " You not having a good first day of school?" another one asks. I walk past them and they start laughing. Yes its so funny when someone walks away from you i think to my self. I walk to the front entrance doors and right when i get to one door some bitch thinks it is a good idea to shove me into it. " Hurry the hell up i want to get the fuck home," some chick says to me. Trust me i want to get home to i think to myself. The girl laughs at me as i trip and fall to the ground because i tripped over someones extended foot. I get up and start to walk home. " Hey are you ok?" some guy shouts to me as he runs to catch up with me. I turn around and a guy with black skater boy hair and pure blue eyes is in front of me. I shake my head yes and he looks at me. " Why didn't you give them shit back?" the hot guy asks. I place my backpack on the ground and pull out my note book and a pencil. I write I'm mute on it and show it to him. " Really?" he asks. I shake my head yes and he smiles at me. " I'm Justin," Justin says as he holds a hand out for me to shake. I'm Emma i write in my book and show him then i shake his hand. You don't have to talk to me if you don't want to I'm just a silent whore i write on the note book and show him. " Your not a whore," Justin says as he picks my backpack up off the ground. I go to take i and he pulls it away from me. " I live next to you so I'm walking you home," Justin says. I smile and write thank you. " You welcome," Justin says. We both start walking and my brother comes running up to me. " Emma wait up," he shouts. My crazy 15 year old brother comes running up to me and stops in front of me. " Who the hell is this?" my brother asks with a smile on his face. " I'm Justin," Justin says. " I'm Emma's brother Mason," Mason says. " Nice to meet you Mason," Justin says. " Are you my sisters friend," Mason asks with a huge smile on his face. I face palm myself and Justin laughs. " Are you, because my sister has like no one that is nice to her," Mason says. " Please tell me he is joking," Justin says. He isn't i write on my note pad. " Well I'm your best friend now," Justin says which causes me to smile. " You be nice to her," Mason says. " I will," Justin says. We finish walking home and when i stop and my drive way to my house Justin hands me my backpack. " Well Emma would you like to walk to school with me tomorrow," Justin asks. I nod my head no jokingly as i smile and laugh slightly. " What," Justin says ass he acts all hurt. I would love to i write on my note pad. " Well then i will see you tomorrow," Justin says then he walks to his house. " You like him," Mason says. I start to blush and i run to the front door racing my brother. " Hey," Mason shouts. I laugh since i usually let him know I'm going to race him but today i didn't. I run onto the patio and Mason trips on the steps and falls. He starts laughing at himself and he gets up. I walk in and get a cup of water and head to me room. " Emma mom and dad wont be home for dinner do you want to order pizza?' Mason shouts. I text him saying yes then walk into my room. I set my backpack down then i sit in my office desk chair and spin around slowly. I have a best friend i think to myself. I smile then i do the small amount of homework i have. A hour later Mason comes up stairs and hands my a plate with two huge slices of pizza on it. Me and Mason sit on my floor and he turns the TV on in my room. " Did you have a good day at school?" Mason asks. I grab my note pad and write yeah the usual. " I wish people could be nice to one another," Mason says. Me to i write on my note pad. " Do you think you will ever talk again?"' Mason asks. Maybe once i find something smart to say i write on my note pad. " I miss your voice," Mason says. I'm sorry i write. " Its ok," Mason says. When were done eating he takes the plates down stairs and i hop into the shower. When I'm done i get out and blow dry my hair and get dressed in my pajama's. I take my backpack down stairs and set it in on of the chairs at the kitchen table. I walk into the living room and Mason is sitting there holding a picture of his girlfriend he had dated all of middle school and in his first year of high school. " Why did she have to die?" Mason asks. I give him a huge hug and he hugs me back. " I miss her," Mason says. Me to i sign to him using sign language. " Are you going to bed?" Mason asks. I shake my head yes and he gets up." So am I," Mason says. We go to are rooms and i crawl into my bed and fall fast asleep.
