chapter 4

I sit on the couch having nothing to do since its a Saturday. To sum up my first week of school is that it was horrible. The only good thing about school was Justin. He is like a fuckin hero, he has always been by my side at school. I'm not going to say people don't treat me like shit with him around me because they do its just Justin helps me get through it. "Hey Emma," Mason says as he comes into the living room and sits down on the couch.  I smile at him just as my phone goes off. Hey i got invited to a Halloween party in October your coming with me a text from Justin reads. Ok i text back. I get up walk into the kitchen and make something for lunch. I sit down and eat then i clean up. I text Justin saying I'm going to go for a run would you like to come with me. Sure meet me at my house Justin texts me. I run up stairs and put on pink running short shorts and a black tank top. I pull my hair into a ponytail then i slip on my sneakers. I walk down the stairs and outside. It looks like it might rain but i walk to Justin's house. When i get to his house i knock on the door and a shirtless Justin opens the door. "Hey," Justin says as he pulls me into a huge hug. "Hey mom I'm going running," Justin shouts as he walks out the door. "Ready," Justin asks. I nod my head yes then we start jogging. After a long time of jogging we stop and sit down. I look over at Justin i see he has a six pack and i look away. Good fricken good Justin is hot i think to myself. It starts to drizzle and i look at Justin. "Lets jog home now," Justin says. Can i stay at your house for awhile i sign. "Hell yeah," Justin says. He gets up and helps me up then we start are jog back to his house. We get to his house and we flop onto the couch. "Justin your brother went over to his friends," Justin's mom says as she walks into the living room and sees me. "Who is this," Justin's mom asks. "This is Emma," Justin says. "Honey i think she can introduce herself," his mom says. "Shes mute," Justin says. "Oh, well i will leave you two alone," his mom says as she leaves the room. It starts pouring outside and there is a crack of thunder and the lights go out. "Shit," Justin says. I lay my head on a pillow on the couch and i close my eyes.

"Emma," Justin whispers. I open my eyes and Justin laughs at me. "You fell asleep Justin says. I got next to no sleep last night i sign. "Now i feel bad for waking you up," Justin says. Don't i sign. "Emma would you like to stay for dinner?" Justin's mom asks. i should get home i sign. I get up and Justin walks me to the door. "Bye," Justin says as i give him a hug. I walk home and walk into the front door. Mason isn't down stairs so i go up stairs and his bedroom door is wide open. I walk in and Mason has a knife in his hand and a ton of cut marks on his wrist. I run up to him to try and get the knife but he fights to keep it. The next thing i know the through out all the fighting to get the knife from Mason the knife sinks into my skin really deeps and i start bleeding like crazy. I yelp in pain and step back. "Emma I'm so sorry," Mason says as he yanks his shirt sleeves down, he then notices the cut is deep enough for me to bleed out. Mason runs out of the room as i sit on the floor. Mason comes running back up the stairs on the phone with 911. A ambulance comes and they take me to the hospital as i start getting light headed and kind of dizzy. Mason holds my right hand since it isn't cut as they put me in the ambulance just as i pass out.

"So what happen to her," I hear a lady say. "I had a knife in my hand and she tried to take it from me and it cut her," Mason sobs. I open my eyes and I'm laying in a hospital bed and i see Justin passing the room. "Oh my god Emma," Justin says as he comes over to me and pulls me into his arms. Mason comes over and i hug him to. "Emma I was so scared are you ok?" Justin asks. I nod my head yes and the nurse comes over to me. "You may leave you needed stitches for the cut just come back in a week to get them taken out," the nurse says. I get out of the bed and Justin wraps his arm around my shoulders and we go to his car. The car ride to Justin's house is quite but when we get there Mason slips out of the car and Justin turns to me. "Emma i can't hide it any more, I love you so much you are the most beautiful girl i have ever seen," Justin says. I smile at him and he smiles back. "I love you no matter what please go on a date with me," Justin says. I nod my head yes and pull him into a hug and we get out of the car. "Meet me here tomorrow at two," Justin says. I walk home and run to my room. What am i going to wear tomorrow  i think to myself. I go over to my closet and look through it but at the moment i can't think straight because I'm so happy. I see that its 11 so i get changed into my pjs then i crawl into bed.
