After staying here for 16 days, good news finally came.
Justin called from the office saying the driver is coming to pick us, and that we should come with him to his office immediately. We both rushed to have a quick shower and left with the driver. We reached the office and Justin was already at the entrance waiting for us. Salim got down and went straight to him, they kissed and led the way. For a moment I was shocked. How on earth can they do that in the open😂😂
So I didn't mention, when Justin came home the other day, he did had that discussion with Salim And they both agreed to be in a relationship. They are now and I promise you, these two are just so much into each other.
I can't believe After all that happened, Salim has found love and he is happy. I am equally so very happy for my best friend.
We went into the same office we went to sixteen days back. That's the Director of Councils office. He told us to sit and then he gave each of us a file.
The document inside read "Asylum Granted" I read the entire paper smiling and so was Salim. We are finally granted asylum and we are to leave this country as soon as we can for our safety. We were then requested to give a scan copy of our passports which is to be used to purchase our tickets. We are going to Canada.
We left the UNCHR building and went with the driver home to get our passports scanned and sent.
On the way, I noticed Salim is not all that happy as I expected him to be.

Naz: Salim what is it? Why are you quite?
Salim: Naz, we are granted asylum. You know what that means now right? That I am going away and Justin will still be here. We will be apart.
Naz: oh shit. I didn't thought of that. Sorry man, but listen, Justin is equally not from here. He is just here for work so whatever happened he will Have a chance to come see you from time to time. Don't you think?
Salim: I know but I just want to be with him. I just want to stay with him to wherever he is. Don't you get it? I love him and leaving him behind will be difficult for me.
Naz: I understand bro but it will all be well. Come to think of it, do you want to stay here with Naz, start going to school here then all of a sudden you two get into trouble, or do you want to go away and he be meeting you there whenever he has the opportunity to do so? I mean, there you won't have to hide or be in love secretly. For it is lawful there. Think about it bro.
Salim: Well that make sense too but man...ahhh I just can't leave him here.
Naz: I know. But that's the option you have now. Better still talk to him and see, and I bet he will tell you the same thing.
We reached home and I was busy trying to operate the scanning machine whiles Salim just sit there with a sad face. My friend is really sad that he's gonna leave Justin here.
