Time was not easy to forget about. It was a constant thing that didn't answer to no one; Kronos couldn't even use his domain without after-effects. Just like what Elizabeth Forsythe Hailey said, Time is a cruel thief to rob us of our former selves. We lose as much to life as we do to death-It was as if time was the ultimate boss at the end of the game; the one monster you can't beat.

Waiting was something that grew on Percy; he had a love-hate relationship with it. He was a patient man, a lovable and easy going person and everyone knew that. But sometimes being secluded brought unwanted memories. Percy unknowingly started to tap his knee as he waited in the shelter of the trees. Having to have landed the quinjet a while ago. As the quietness slowly surrounded every sense he had. Memories came springing out, smell, noises, lightning, ext. Soon he wasn't aware reality had slipped from his fingers.

His fingers clenched and retracted themselves from his palms multiple times. Red, was the color that adored his eyes as he stared down the street. It was his fault, he knew it and everyone knew it. Percy's breaths were rapid and increasing pace in rhythm as if he was about to scream. He was, for the doctors couldn't do anything. The medicine couldn't do anything. No, but Percy was doing something to stop time from swallowing something so pure in the world. Percy was stopping cancer, he was stopping Leukemia.

-Percy, you promised me! Promised me, you won't control blood ever again! -But I'm doing something Annabeth! I'm actually doing something! I'm stopping it from killing them! -You're going to kill them!

And he did, he killed them because their body grew dependant on Percy's involvement. He left oblivious that his night out will end with a nasty turn. Annabeth was right, he was the one to kill them. He was the one to end his child's life. And now Percy turned his finger towards time and cancer not wanting to believe he had killed them, that he had killed-

Lightning struck the area around the quinjet, which helps bring Percy back from his own torturous foundation. He felt the ship shake by the oncoming storm; normal storms couldn't do something like that. Percy would know, he made his own so many times. Standing up, the adult glanced out the windows in time to see the Ironman and a buff Viking like man crash onto the forest floor.

Taking action, Percy opened the quinjet and bolted towards the two, "Showtime." He grumbled softly before flicking riptide into the air; then pen spun before turning into its, natural form, a sword.

Running towards them, Percy had to dodge multiple laser beams and lighting before he got even close, "Does mother know you weareth her drapes?" And just like that, they were up in the sky once more.

Sliding to a stop, Percy huffed out loud seeing as they were gone. It felt kind of useless of him to have run towards them only for them to leave in seconds. Percy didn't know that fate saw that he ran out. For fate wanted Percy to meet someone that stood on the mountain above him. Pebbles rolled off a mountain nearby drawing attention towards Percy. The demigod looked up to see their Target, Loki Odinson; staring down at him. Now knowing what to do, Percy got to work. In work, he meant rock climbing up the mountain before him.

-One day, You'll be able to climb the biggest mountains ever!

Reaching the top, the Son of the sea stared at the villain of this story expectantly, "Are you expecting a fight?" The blue-eyed god asked with a mischievous grin. The trickster sat on a couple of rocks as if they were a throne, "There will be no fight here, Perseus Jackson."

Percy glared at the Norse god, riptide twirled in his hand in impatiently, "You know me?" His green eyes blazed in wonder.

Loki smirked, an expression that proved to show he knew about many things, "Of course, the hero of Olympus, Son of Poseidon, " The god stood waving his hand around as if he was announcing his words to millions of people, "Savior of the world, Twice, Slayer of all monster, " and that's when the god pause to stare Percy directly in the eye, " And a Child killer." Percy clenched his fist as he heard those words; yet, Loki wasn't finished, "How does it feel to be the reason your son is dead! The reason the seven had disbanded! The reason Nico Di'angelo died!" Loki stepped forward, "You're just a killer! Just like me-, "

The god's words were finally sliced away by the hand of Percy. The demigod's eyes held hatred and grief at hearing the things the trickster said, "I'm nothing like you. " Percy kicked Loki to his knees and cuffed him once more, "And I'll never be." With the bottom of riptides handle, Percy hit Loki in the back of his head knocking him out.

With that, time seemed to swirl in Percy's mind, as he fell to his knees. Dates, places, and even words twist like a tornado; blinding his view with the rain that sparked from such an event, leaking through his eyes like a flood. He wasn't stable and it was time that everyone knew. For fate brought out pain within the hero that everyone knows. A legend, but not all Legends live past their 20's. Percy was losing his mind because he couldn't find himself after destroying his life with an unexpected storm that crashed all his dreams within the waves.

Laughs echoed throughout the hospital room. A young boy beamed his light green eyes at his father before him. Freckles adored his face as if the angels said to be in the bible, had blessed the child that sat on the white bed. The child was no older than three; with a goofy smile, the kid shook his murky black highlighted hair at his father.

"Do it again!" He cheered as he gripped on his father.

Percy grinned before ruffling the boy's hair, " Okay- Okay, but this is the last one tonight; don't need mommy on our backs." With that Percy sat his son on his lap.

Holding his hand out, water floated out of a cup nearby like a snake. It made its way over to the two; slowly becoming a pegasus as it got closer. The water swirled and sparked as it danced around the three-year-old. Clapping his hands, the child cheered happily as the small water hours brushed up against his cheek.

It was a sight Percy would always remember. He was a good father, one that told stories and cuddled his son so they could sleep better. He was overprotective and made sure his son was getting the best care. His protection went as far as even using his own powers to keep his child alive.

Time was not a threat during these times. It almost seemed nonexistent when the family was all together. Their laughs were contagious, their smiles we're blinding, and their words were extraordinary. Time was not on the family's mind. Yet it should have been when the demigods we're told that such a small joy, had Leukemia, a blood cancer that would surely kill a child of his age.

Percy dissolved the water he controlled, leaving mist in its wake. As he finished, the father hugged his son with a charming smile, "Time for bed."

He didn't realize that would be the last night he'll hear his son laugh. For time, started the clock on his childs life- and no god tried to stop it.

-daddy, I'm sacred.
