Shawn and Andrea

Prologue

"Let's end this, Andrea."

I was speechless. It was so sudden.

"Why?" I managed to croak out.

Okay naman kami kagabi. Okay naman kami kahapon. Okay naman kami lately kaya bakit?

"Just because." He wasn't even looking at me. And this... This made me mad. 'Di ko deserve 'to. Minahal naman niya ako diba? Kahit proper break-up nalang man o closure sana ibigay niya!

"Putanginang just because na 'yan, Iñaki! Bigyan mo naman ako ng putanginang sagot!"

Nagulat si Iñaki sa sinabi ko. I never cuss. Ngayon lang talaga kasi nasasaktan na ako and everything is just so sudden that I can't keep up.

"Will you please lower your voice? We're in public in case you forgot."

"Then give me a fucking answer, Iñaki." I whispered, defeated.

Tears were starting to form in my eyes. My vision was getting blurry. The man in front of me was a stranger. Hindi ko na siya kilala. Ibang Iñaki itong kausap ko.

"Andrea..." his voice was soft.

Hindi ko siya maintindihan. Ang gulu-gulo niya. Nakakainis.

"Iñaki, please kahit proper closure lang oh? 5 years tayong nagsama so please kahit 'yan lang ang ibigay mo sa 'kin. 'Wag lang ang just because na 'yan oh? Please."

His eyes that stared at me were once soft and filled with love, but now... there was nothing.

"Andrea--"

"I-- I can change naman. I can fix this. You don't have to do anything, but stay. Just please don't break up--"

"I don't love you anymore."

The deafening silence enveloped between us. He finally said it. I kind of anticipated this. I had enumerated other reasons and his answer was the last one I could think of.

"I think we're done here." He stood up, walked fast without looking back.

And there I was left alone. Tears finally flowed down from my eyes.

5 years and he just let it go just like that. I can't believe he would fall out of love so easily.

I couldn't stop crying. My chest was so heavy. What am I going to do now? I got used to his presence. I got used to do the things I've been doing with him by my side.

What now? How am I going to pick myself up after this?

How could he be so cruel?

I felt something touching my cheeks. I looked up and saw Shawn with a handkerchief.

He looked at me with those sad eyes. He squatted in front of me so our faces were on the same level.

I stopped crying. I was so confused as to what he was doing right now. Shawn and I weren't close. Classmates kami pero we only had little interactions.

"Use me." He said.

"Huh?"

He caressed my cheek slowly. He gave me a smile that didn't reach his eyes and what he said next totally caught me off guard.

"Gawin mo akong panakip-butas. Use me. You can do anything you want with me. I can help you move on. I'm willing to do anything."
