Forever changed

Chapter 4 - Runaway

The group have been going on for some time. They have made it to a clearing where there was a waterfall. The mothers looked at each other then started to laugh. "That was fun." Queen Elinor laughed out. Valka was surprised. "So, where to?" Hiccup and Merida looked at each other then shrugged.

Valka was deciding on where to go. "How about somewhere where they won't be able to reach us. Our children are still cursed and we need to get them away from your father."

"I know a place where we can go." The mothers then turned to Merida. She somehow spoke to her mother. This shocked everyone who was around.

"Wait. I just heard you speak. This is amazing!" Elinor exclaimed. "So where is this place?" Behind them they could see horses galloping with two barking dogs. King Fergus has found them.

"Now time to kill the bear for what it did to our daughter." He raised his sword into the air but a stream of fire stopped him and everyone but the archers from continuing. "What is this witchery?" A whistle was heard above and he could see a dragon in the air with a masked figure on the back.

"Come on. We have to go now." Hiccup immediately took to the skies. On the ground, Queen Elinor was riding on Merida's back.

Merida was trying to run away from her father and the rest of the clan. Hiccup, Cloudjumper and Valka were trying to stall them so the mother-daughter could flee. As they were continuing, the pair were out of sight so they stopped their attack and flew off into their direction.

The group have arrived to a broken castle. Queen Elinor dismounted off her daughter and walked into a hole at the top of the hill. Merida followed behind. "So. Is this the place you were talking about?" Merida nodded. Behind them, a night fury joined in as well as a masked rider. Merida was now in a defensive position. Her mother Stood next to her. "Who are you. She pointed a finger towards the masked rider as she took her mask off. Queen Elinor was surprised that what she wore was her flight suit.

"So. Where are we?" Hiccup took to the skies so he could have a look.

Valka whistled for his attention. "My mum and I came here before. The reason why we know about this place was because the willow 'o' wisps lead us here." The castle was quite dark the only light that they have was the one from the ceiling.

Queen Elinor decided to walk a bit further into the dark. She stopped and turned around. "How about we explore this place." Cloudjumper and Hiccup provided light as they walked down the hall.

They've finished exploring and they've all made back to the throne room. The five of them laughed. "That was so much fun." Valka giggled out.

"Remember the part when Hiccup Cloudjumper and I scared you?" Merida said.

"It was hilarious. You should've seen the looks on your face." Cloudjumper also laughed.

(Italics = dragon speaking (the only ones that could understand him are Hiccup and Merida.))

"Oh Hiccup, remember the time your mum and I left you?" Cloudjumper told Hiccup. Merida laughed.

They were all talking and laughing before stopping.

Merida turned to her mum. "So mum, what is going to happen?"

It took some time for her mum to say something but she found words. "We will have to runaway. Your father doesn't like it that you turned into a bear."

Valka stepped in. "We can go to Berk." Queen Elinor looked confused. "I mean, we could try there. No one has reacted to my son becoming a dragon." Hiccup snuggled under her mum's arm. "We will leave first thing tomorrow morning."
