"Mum, can I go with Hiccup so we can know each other a bit more?" Merida stood up from her chair. Her mum allowed her to go.
"Ok. As long as Valka and Hiccup doesn't mind." She looked over towards the pair. The pair agreed for Hiccup to go. "Now please can the two of you return before sunset?" Merida and Hiccup nodded.

Merida was riding Angus with Hiccup behind her. "So Hiccup, how did you come here?" Hiccup pretended looked confused. "I know that you didn't come here by boat since I heard a screech in the forest and you had no boat. So please explain how you came here with your mum."
Hiccup remained quiet before speaking. "Fine, you win. I flew here with my mum on dragon, hence the armour I am wearing. My turn. Why were you thirty minutes late?"
This made Merida Angus turn around back to the castle. "Sorry. Forgot something." Hiccup groaned.

The pair went back out of the castle. Merida had her bow slung over her. Hiccup still didn't know why she needed her bow. "So, where did you land? I want to see them." Hiccup pointed to their left. Merida had a look and noticed that he pointed in the same direction she rides in.
The pair was just outside the forest. Merida pulled her bow out and prepared an arrow. As soon as Angus was close enough, Merida let the bow go and it hit the target. Hiccup watched as she continued to do archery.
The pair have made it to a clearing. There was a waterfall and on the top were two dragons. Hiccup whistled and a black dragon flew down. Since Merida has never seen a dragon, she readied an arrow but Hiccup prevented her from pulling the bow back. "Merida, this is Toothless."Toothless then gave off a gummy smile.

The pair have been talking to each other for a while. Hiccup told Merida the time he befriended Toothless. Merida was surprised after hearing the story. She then told Hiccup about the time she turned her mum into a bear. He was surprised that she would do something like that. "Oh gosh. Nice to know that your mum changed. Just like my dad and the rest of my village." Hiccup was thinking about what to do next he then thought about something so he spat the idea out. "Merida, can I see the witch you met?" Merida shook her head after what he said so Hiccup pleaded harder. She couldn't argue anymore so she gave up.

Merida stopped Angus outside the witch's hut. She hopped off her horse with Hiccup behind. "Come on Hiccup." Merida opened the door to the hut and saw the witch doing some carvings.
"Well if it isn't the red haired girl. Who is your friend?" The old witch pointed a finger towards Hiccup.
"This is my friend Hiccup. He wanted to see you." The witch dropped her tools and walked over to them.
"So what can I get either of you?" The witch gestured the whole room. There were plenty of wood carvings around. "Oh and thank you. I've made plenty of money now. I also have a reward for you." She gave Merida a bottle filled with a strange liquid. Hiccup saw this and started to question what the bottle was. "Oh it's a potion for her as a reward. If you want one, it comes with a price." Hiccup started rummaging around for something he could sell.
He then found a symbol of a night fury on gronkle iron shaped like a coin. "How about this?" He showed it to the witch who drabbed it and then shoved him out. "Hey what was that for?"
Merida decided to tell him that she never conjure where she carves. The witch then walked back in so Hiccup followed behind and then Merida followed him.

After brewing, the witch grabbed a bottle and filled it up with the brew in the cauldron. "Here you go boy. Just be careful."
