12. Boys and their dares

There in the living room, in front of me were Louis and Harry sitting on the carpet playing cards or something, and Liam sitting on the couch next to Niall watching tv.

We just stand at the door awkwardly, the boys not noticing our presence.

"Checkmate!" Louis shouts.

"Louis that's not what your supposed to say, and besides you didn't even win!" Harry shouts back.

"Ahem." Zayn gets there attention. The four boys look our way.

"Lads, this is Diana. You remember her from the other day don't you?"

"Remember her? First, how could we forget her? Second Zayn, you haven't shut up about her all day!" Louis exclaims.

I slowly turn my head to look at Zayn who turns away and his cheeks turn a light pink.

"Shut up Louis." he mumbles. I giggle at his cuteness.

Zayn's POV

Oh great I just got embarrassed in front of her.

I glare at Louis as he walks- actually skips over, along with the rest of the boys following (not skipping though).

"Holla!" Louis shouts and Diana winces.

"Hi." she replies shyly, not making eye contact. Wow she is very shy.

"It's great to see you again Diana." Liam says politely.

She just nods. "Well are we just gonna stand here or what? I'm hungry!" Niall states.

We all sit down at the table and start to eat.

"So Diana you're obviously American, where exactly are you from?" Liam asks trying to make conversation, for no one has said one word for five minutes.

"I'm from Chicago, Illinois."

"You seem shy for a city girl."

She shrugs saying, "I don't know, I guess it's the way I am."

"Have you ever been to the Empire State Building?!" Louis asks over-enthusiastically.

"Louis that's in New York." Liam informs him.

"Is not."

"It is."

"No it's not."

"Diana would you please tell him that the Empire State Building is in New York."

She seems amused by their argument and chuckles before saying, "Sorry Louis, but it is."

"My life is full of lies!" he throws his hands dramatically into the air, which makes Diana laugh. Her laugh is absolutely beautiful and it's music to my ears.

Diana's POV

"So Diana, tell us about yourself." Harry says.

"Um, well, my name is Diana Stead which you already know. Me and my best friend Laela who was with me at the concert share an apartment, and we work at a toy store because we adore little kids."

"Why did you come to London?" Liam asks.

I tense up a little before answering.

"The college I always dreamed of going to is here in London and so is Laela's." I say half the truth.

"Cool, what are you studying?" Louis participates in the conversation.

"Fashion designing, and Laela is going to medical school. She's taking a tour of it today, she decided to do that two days before she starts." I say shaking my head and rolling my eyes at the last part. I can't believe she waited that long before doing that. I took a tour of my college with Laela, the second week we were here, I went there multiple times too.

"When do you start?" Zayn asks, finally saying something.

"In about a week."

Niall isn't saying anything at all or even paying attention to our conversation, he's just devouring food without a care in the world.

After dinner I thank Zayn for inviting me and tell them I have to go.

"Oh come oooon, don't go." Louis begs me to stay.

"I don't know, I don't wanna take too long."

"Then just stay a little bit, not for long." Zayn offers.

"Well... ok, but not for long."

Louis and Harry cheer, and Zayn gives me a big smile which I return.

"So what are we going to do now?" Niall asks.

"Oh! Oh I know!" Louis yells waving his arm around. He and Harry look at each other then burst out, "TRUTH OR DARE!"

"Seriously?" I say raising an eyebrow.
"What don't you like that game?" Harry asks.
"No, it's not that."

"Then what is it?"

"Laela loves that game, we always play it when there's a group of people we can play it with."

"Do you want to do something else then?" Louis asks disappointed.

"NO NO! I'd love to play with you guys."

Louis' face lights up and we all sit down in the living room on the carpet. "I'll start!" Louis shouts.

"Ok, I pick......Diana!" I had a feeling he was gonna say that.

"Truth or dare?" he asks, evilly smirking and rubbing his hands together.

There's no telling what he might make me do if I choose dare, which is probably a bad idea so I choose truth.

"Truth."

"Awww, come on." he wines. "Chicken."

"Hey!" I playfully slap him on his arm.

"Ok, hmm...." he rubs his fingers on his chin in a thinking manor.

"I got it! What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?"

"Uuuugh." I face palm, I wish I chose dare.

"When I was in fifth grade we had to do a school play and everyone had to have a part. Before I went onstage a boy started making fun of my costume, so I punched him. In return he pushed me and I stumbled back and fell on top off the background, resulting in everyone laughing at me along with the audience."

"Ouch." Liam says breaking the silence.

Harry and Louis burst out laughing, which gets them glares from everyone else. They apologize and sheepishly look down.

"My turn!" Harry jumps all of a sudden.

"Zayn, truth or dare?"

"Dare." boys and their dares, can't they choose truth for once? I mean seriously it's not something to be ashamed of.

A look more evil than Louis' takes over Harry's face and an evil grin creeps on to it.

"I dare you to kiss Diana.......on her lips."
