"Diana I-"
"Where did you get that?" she asks, her voice a mere whisper.
"I-I found it on the floor, it was by the door, I'm sorry."
She gently takes the album and caresses the photo, her fingers hovering over the older girl that I couldn't recognize. Her eyes are full of sorrow.
"Just go away." she whispers.
"Diana I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"Please, go away." she says louder. I walk away because I know she needs me to leave her alone right now.
"Zayn, is something wrong?" Harry asks once I get to the living room where they're watching tv.
"I'm fine." I tell him. He drops the subject although he doesn't seem convinced.
Diana's POV
I sit on the floor, my eyes still on the photo of that wonderful day. One of the few happy days we had, especially after uncle Zach disappeared when I was nine.
(flashback)
"Wow it's awesome!" I exclaim. This snowman turned out great!
"I didn't think it would turn out this nice, we did a good job." Elsa states.
"We have to take a picture!" Laela says.
"Definitely." Elsa agrees.
"But wait, it has a face, buttons and arms but it doesn't have clothes." I tell them.
"Seriously Diana?" Laela looks at me with that 'really?' expression.
"What?"
"I'll put my scarf." Elsa wraps her scarf around the snowman's neck. I stick my tongue out at Laela.
"Very mature." she says. I take my hat off and place it on the snowman's head.
"So what should we name it?"
"It's just a snowman Diana." Laela says. So what I want to name it? At times I just feel like acting like a little girl is that a problem?
"So what? I wanna name it."
"How about frostbite?" Elsa suggests. I laugh at her name choice. "Okay frostbite."
"How come you always take her side?"
"Jealous Lali?" I mock.
"Bitch."
"You're the bitch, bitch." I throw a snowball at her, and that's how we end up having a snowball fight. Even Elsa joins in, but we're careful not to ruin frostbite.
After that we get the camera that uncle Zach gave us a long time ago, and take a picture. Days like this are kinda rare and I'm sure that we'll remember this day our whole lives cos this is the most fun we've had in a long time.
***
I pull myself together and put the photo album that contains so many precious memories aside. I have to check on the rice. Okay so how do I know for sure when it's done? Come on Diana you've seen Laela do this a million times. Except I wasn't even paying attention, but it can't be that hard, right?
I end up burning the rice just like every other thing I ever tried to cook or Laela told me to watch, besides eggs which I never make anymore because Laela hates eggs. And that proves that I'm a failure at cooking which I'll never ever try again cos I'm always gonna burn whatever I try to cook which is why I'm exploding right now.
