Pokemon: The Misadventures in Unova

Chapter 26

《A sudden job change ?!》

In Nimbasa city, home to amusement parks, one of the grandest place in all of Unova.

There exist an urban legend, at afternoon close to night time. You can hear a beautiful melody, but you can't locate the owner of the voice.

Some people speculate it's a pokemon and some claimed they've seen what it really is. They even built a make-shift stage on where the sound seems to come from...

Aside from that Urban legend.. Frost confirmed what it was.

A lonesome pokemon singing by itself. A melody of sadness and gentleness.. one that touches the very soul itself—

Until it got interrupted by another noise, making the Pokemon stop singing and stare over to where the noise comes from.. the cause being Frost.. or more specifically, his Xtransceiver.

- "Oh.. My bad, I'll get this quick. —Uh yes, hello ?" (Frost)

The pokemon just confusedly nodded, and peeked over what the trainer was looking at, and on his wrist there was a small person in it and talking !

- "Hiya Frosty boy— wait what ?! Is th-that... that's Meloetta ?! How.. How'd you find it ?!" (Prof. Juniper)

As soon as she got visual contact, she saw a pokemon hovering over Frost, it named Meloetta, and happily waved at the Professor..

- "Woah there, slow down. What's up first—" (Frost)

Both Gym leaders were stunned by her reaction.. a Meloetta ?

Who's that pokemon.. Question such as those went through their minds, and once they peeked over, they saw a cute and small pokemon waving at the both of them all excitedly.

They showed no reaction.
Eyes like dead fish.

But in reality, their hearts have been stabbed. How can such an adorable pokemon exist in Unova and them not knowing about it ?!

- "It-It's.. cute.." (Roxie)

- "I want... it.." (Elesa)

Both Gym leaders were enchanted by the Pokemon, but only the Professor pulled herself together and calmly asked:

- "Where exactly are you ? Roxie tells me you disappeared, and Kirlia is in the corner drawing circles waiting for you." (Prof. Juniper)

Her voice was calm, but the context can only mean anything but calm..

He's in trouble for this one.

- "Well.. We'll be right over.. or do you want to meet somewhere ?" (Frost)

- "Haah.. Just, meet us at the gym, you better do some explaining later." (Prof. Juniper).

- "You mean we get to see it ?! Yes !" (Roxie)

- "I look forward meeting it and recruiting it." (Elesa)

Over Frost's Xtransceiver two distinct voices were heard before ending the call— it can only be two people.

- "Well, Meloetta, I think they like you. Wanna come with ? If you want to that is—" (Frost)

Oh, the trainer is leaving, was what Meloetta thinking, but after hearing his invitation, it accepted. Afterall, having a group was much more delightful, at least to her. So she nodded and got on his shoulder, once again, the Kirlia's self proclaimed best sitting spot, and they both went towards the Gym.

Getting stares from other people... yeah, it's awkward.

Sheesh, having a different pokemon attracts attention, but when he had Ralts, it didn't get 'that' much attention. . .

{After what it seemed like a long walk, but really lasted 3 minutes both Frost and Meloetta arrived at the entrance of the gym}

A pokemon and a person walked, the pokemon hovered around the person, humming a happy tune, meanwhile the trainer enjoyed it's company and it's tune, until it saw two people waving and a pokemon running towar— oh she teleported to tackle hug the person.

Kirlia hugged her trainer tightly, as she sobbed silently, Frost merely pat her on the head and chuckled.

- "Aww come on Kirlia, if you had thought it more carefully, you could have used your full powered telepathy, to communicate. But there, there.. maybe next time. I'm back now— " (Frost)

Meloetta seemed surprise, and right after hummed a tune, directed to Kirlia, and what was sad a second ago was blown away, by a sudden happiness, her heart felt relieved, rid of any insecurity she had earlier.

- "Master.. I feel much better now. But please don't leave me again.. don't leave 'us' again. " (Kirlia)

And while this sweet moment seemed to last a while, someone interrupted it.

By grabbing both Frost's shoulder, and all three, Frost, Kirlia and Meloetta were surprised.

- "You ! How dare you leave such an innocent Kirlia all alone, do you think of pokemon as mere things ?!" (Elesa)

A sudden person, who is unknown to Frost but known to Roxie and the Professor.

- "Hey Elesa that's a bit too fa—" (Prof. Juniper)

- "Uh, you seem to be mistaken Ma'am.. I left Kirlia with Roxie, one of my most trusted partner. Now, if it was someone else, then I'd taken her with me. Plus, I let them enjoy the park here, since it's their first time." (Frost)

Such blunt and serious words came from Frost, like a switch had been flipped over, by the word alone.

His calm atmosphere shocked he newcomer Elesa, in a sense, she can't say no more since he mentioned an important and trustworthy person was with Kirlia..

- "Kke— Fine then.. as an apology ! I will have to hire you, as my producer !" (Elesal

- "Huh ?" (Frost)

- "Eh ?" (Roxie)

- "Hire ? As in work ?" (Kirlia)

- ".. This girl.. " (Prof. Juniper)

Everyone had a different reaction, but all of them were ultimately confused by the word 'hire'

Meanwhile, meloetta was smiling apl throughout their interactions, they must all be good friends !

She can't wait to make some friends !
