Chapter V: Lightspeed Skipping

'The dead speak!' That was the understatement of the millennium. Weeks have passed since the broadcast was transmitted across the Galaxy, rumors and theories have began to spread, darker times have gotten worse. There were no comments from the First Order, not even from the Supreme Leader, everything has been kept in the dark recently. The Resistance on the other hand, decided to see for themselves, Leia sent Jacen, Finn, Poe, R2-D2, and Chewbacca to the glacier planet of Sinta IV, to gather intel from a Resistance Sympathizer named Boolio, who lives on the glacier colony. Assisted by Klaud, a slug like creature the size of the average human, if not taller, to help repair the Falcon incase any damage happens along the way. As the ship travels through lightspeed, there was nothing else to do than wait. Finn and Poe teamed up to play against Chewbacca in a game of Dejarik, the mighty Wookiee's favorite game, unless he loses of course. Jacen on the other hand was in the other corridor for peace and quiet, he thought it was time to experiment with his lightsaber, he sits on the floor on his knees, eyes closed, using the force on the hilt as it hovers in front of him, each piece and mechanism began to detach separately, the kyber Crystal was in the center of it with a distinct blue glow. He finds the box of spare parts that he could use so he could toy with some design ideas. He thinks about the curved approach, they piece back together as the former pieces still hover with the newly curved hilt, he grabs it, but he wasn't really feeling it, so he lets go of it and un-attaches it once more. He then had another idea, the parts start reattaching, along with two exhaust vents at the ignition. He grabs it, and ignites a blue crossguarded blade, he looks at it, this could be something that he could use later on. But then it slowly reminded him of Kylo Ren. He realizes that he has to be ready for their inevitable fight, possibly to the death, that's one fight he is not looking forward to.

"Hey, we're coming in." Said Finn's voice from the hall. Jacen lifts the saber again, as the force reattaches the previous pieces of his old standard lightsaber. He clips it back to his belt as he and Finn walk across the hall towards the hatch on the ceiling.

"Klaud, I hope you fixed that surge!" Yelled Poe from the other side of the hall, heading to the cockpit with Chewbacca. The ship soars into the glacier, hovering under another freighter. The hatch opens, as a green Ovissian Male with yellow horns on the top of each sides on his head, and two more on his chin.

"Boolio, good to see you." Finn greeted. "You got something for us?"

"A spy in the First Order." Boolio replied.

"A Spy?" Jacen asked.

"Who?" Asked Finn.

"I don't know." Said Boolio. He tosses down a data chord to transport the intel. Jacen plugs it into R2's censors. The data loads up into the astromech droid's hard drive. Whoever this spy is, what motivations does he have against the First Order? And what does he know about Palpatine and his plans? Suddenly, the roaring sound of a TIE Fighter's engine was heard from the horizon, possibly more. Time was now  at the essence.

"R2, keep it steady." Said Jacen.

"Guys, were about to be cooked!" Yelled Poe.

"We're almost there!" Yelled Finn.

"Come on, R2, come on." Jacen said quietly, R2 then beeps victoriously, the data was done. "We got it!" Jacen yelled, he tosses the chord back to Boolio.

"How do we thank you?" Said Finn.

"Win the war!" Yelled Boolio, the hatch closes as Jacen and Finn rush to the cannons. R2 strolls towards the cockpit.

"Chewie, get us out of here!" Said Jacen. Climbing down to the bottom cannon, sitting on the control seat, ready to blast down enemy fighters. The Falcon then flies across the glacier cave, chased by TIE Fighters, bumping into the sides of the cave. He could hear Chewie groaning at Poe from the cockpit.
