UNREQUITED LOVE?

Suns' out, buns out

Poe, Finn, and Rey all sat together as they ate in the dining hall. Finishing up their breakfast, Rey left to take some time off for herself as she'd faced many hardships herself, everyone had.
"Hey Poe, what were you trying to tell me last night? Had me anxious while I was trying to sleep."
the man looked over to the other before turning in his seat to face him.
"Sorry, didn't mean to blue ball you, I just wanted to say.."
A weird empty feeling arose in his chest, it felt different, a mixture of adrenaline and something else, it felt familiar to how he felt in the cockpit.
"I like you, an-and I want to take you on a date, please."
he choked out that rough sentence, not as smooth as he usually was with his viper tongue and whole façade he had going.
Finns smile grew as he nodded.
"I admire you too Poe, and, I'd love to"
The two went out to explore the planet their base lay planted on. The scenery was beautiful now that the two were able to actually soak in the view instead of being chased down and too busy avoiding death. Walking down the dirt path, they spotted small critters and large animals that grazed the fields.
"You know, I'll never get tired of exploring, I use to never see much and when I did, it wasn't a pretty sight." Finn shared to Poe as they walked downhill.
"Hey- you're here, with me, with family, you'll see it all- promise." Poe felt inclined to keep the other happy, it was as if he could feel the pain that his words had conjured.
While walking further, Poe jumped with excitement to the sight and noise of a nearby waterfall.
"C'mon!", he hollered as he booked it towards the water. Dameron removed his top and chain, keeping them in a pile on his boots. It hadn't been long before Finn was striping too. The two were both left in their boxers, Poe led the way up to the top, climbing easily and quickly. Once he made it to the top, he reached out his hand, calling for Finn to take it. Pulling the other up to meet him, they looked over to the water rushing over the edge. Hand in hand, the two rain and jumped, Finn was frantically kicking his legs, screaming as it felt he was catapulted off of a ship once again, while Poe howled, full of laughter before they both hit the water, waves crashing from their impact. Finn jumped out from the water and wiped his face but saw no sight of Poe.
"POE! POE! Where are you?"
Something popped out of the water like a torpedo, pulling on Finn, he'd closed his eyes only to open them and see Poe.
"Scared ya didn't I?"
With that, Finn tackled Poe and pulled him under. The two horse played for a while until they were eventually tired out.
"Finn?"
They were laying out on the sand, or what seemed to be sand, drying from their time in the water when Poe turned to Finn.
"Yeah Poe?"
"Wanna go on another date tomorrow?"
"Of course, General."
"Oh shut the fuck up, General."
