Misintentions

A poem.
just because you don't intend something
doesn't mean it doesn't hurt
he took the most painful thing that ever happened to me
and made it seem like a trivial matter
and if he didn't mean it that way,
and he feels sorry
he should
because misintentions still hurt
even when not intended
and hurt isn't easily forgotten or forgiven
my heart isn't intended for that.
A reminder to protect your heart and stand by your morals even when others disagree.
