A poem

by Ysabella Susim

there is a little space,
where every girl can be herself,
and cry and laugh and sing and dance
a little space that is all her own
a little space to call her own.

you were my home,
my safe little space
i'll miss you dearly,
because you were my sanctuary from the dark
you were my shelter from the world
you were the first room I've had all to myself.
you were my home and my haven,
but goodbye little space,
goodbye home.
