" I'm sorry but the pain. It's worse than a billion knives through the flesh " she said. " I feel numb Walter! Like I'm dead already " she cried.
I hugged her and we both cried, shortly after my father's beta came to call us.
We all went into the bedroom in which my father's body layed lifelessly, he's skin peal my mother walked towards him.
"You promised when it was time, we'd go together, I'm going to kill you myself in the after life " she said looking at him.
"I'll prepare his body " she said to us
"Are you sure mum " I asked "we could call one of the stuff " I said to her.
" I'm okay, I'll do it" she said and we left the room. Lia was outside waiting for me.
"Are you okay? " she asked.
"No I'm not my father is fucking dead, and my mother she's in pain, but thanks for asking " I responded, I knew it was rude but I just couldn't help it. " I'm sor-" she cut me off before I could finish my apology.
" I understand, you don't need to apologize. I've lost my father ,and my mother I don't know if she's even alive anymore and sometimes I feel guilty like I just let her down, you don't have to say sorry to me ,I completely understand that you're grieving and to me you have the complete right to have your space" she said, which mad me feel like a complete dick, she had no family, my family had some what become hers as well and I just treated her like a stranger.
"you know I'll be here when you need to talk, I'll leave you to it " she said and walked away.
My mother came out shortly after to announce that she had prepared the body for the cremation . I went to look for April.
" hey can you do me a favor, please get Lia and Bonnie the appropriate attire for the cremation " I told he and she went and looked for them.
