chapter 17 (HOME)

ZELFELIA

I sat in my living room with Isis, we where packing our stuff up,we where getting ready to head to kildera, I was so excited to get back home, to see my grandma. But I knew I wasn't going to be gone for to long, I had decided I'd be back immediately I found my mother, we'd come back together and I could finally be with Walt.

I had thought long and hard for the past two days and I knew, the reason I'd end up back here, back to the world that wasn't mine.

I got up and told Isis I'd be back shortly, I waved my hands which created a portal that too me straight to the garden behind Walt's house, I quickly ,walked to the door and knocked. Katherine opened the door.

"Good morning Lia, " she said with a smile.

" Good morning, is Walt home?" I asked.

" yes he just got back from his morning run, he should be in his room now " I said.

"Thanks "I quickly run up the stairs and straight for his room . And just as I opened the door , I saw Walt at the end of the room looking at a a girl, she was slightly taller than I was, she has curly hair and since I was seeing both of them from there side I could see very distinct scared on her neck,they almost looked like huge scratch marks.

They looked at each other still not moving, they hadn't realized that I was in the room yet.

"Ammm, I think I'll come back a little bit later " I said and they both turned to look at me.

"Zelfelia " Walt said looking almost confused. "What are you doing here " .

"You can't tell me you forgot " I said.

" Forgot what? " he asked.

"I just came to say bye, Isis and I will be leaving soon. " I told him. " Hi "I said to the girl he was with.

"Hi" she responded

" This is ammm" Walt cut in.

"I'm Saffron " she introduced herself.

"Like the spice? " I asked.

"Yap " she giggled.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Zelfelia " I said.

"From the looks of it, you must be he's girlfriend " she looked between us almost analyzing our facial expression.

"No, we aren't " I answered, " well this is getting awkward can someone please explain what I just walked into " I mused.

"She's my mate " Walt said. In that moment I began to feel like an idiot, I came here to tell him I'd be back for him and he some how managed to get his mate. " We just meet right before you got in the room " he explained. Like that makes it any better.

" That's great, I told you you'd find your mate sooner or later " I said trying to look okay with the whole situation. "Anyways I'll be leaving now " I said turning around.

" Wait I'll walk you out" he said to me, " excuse me " I heard him say as he came to me.

We walked out of the bedroom and he closed the door behind him.

" That was unexpected, I don't even know where she came from " he said. " I've thought of it " he said.

"Of what? " I stopped and turned to look at him.

"Rejecting the bond " he said.

"Don't be stupid, you could kill her or even yourself, that is so selfish of you " I snapped at him, I won't lie it made me feel a little special that he wanted to reject her for me, but I couldn't let him do it . It would be selfish of me, and I know he'd start to hate himself for it.

"I'm sorry, I just _" I cut him off.

" It's not your fault, " I said to him cupping his face in my hand " And she is beautiful " I joked.

He walked me down the stairs.

" I can take you home " he offered.

" I'll just take a portal back home " I said and waved him off.

I didn't make the portal, I just kept walking, I need the air, and some time to wallow in my misery, I took the joggers path through the woods and before I knew it ,Jerome was in front of me.

" I could smell your misery and a hint off blood from a mile away " he said.

"I'm not miserable and I'm not bleeding " I argued.

"Are you sure ,I do smell blood " he said. And as soon as I realize what he was talking about my face started to get hot." are you sure you're okay you're starting to turn a little bit red " he said.

" I'm fine !" I said. He started walking besides me. "So why are you walking though here alone. "

"I'm going back home " I said.

"I thought you could do that thing where you can instantly get home " he said.

" I wanted some air, before I traveled back to kildera. "

" You're leaving today ?" he asked.

" Yeah in about two hours " I responded.

"Okay I'm coming with " he said.

"No you're not, it's not safe for you " I told him.

" I was built to kill " he smirked " And any way I don't have anything better to do here so I might as well come along ,it would be great help " he said.

" Fine, you can come " I told him.

"Are you sure you're not bleeding? " he asked again almost like he knew I was getting uncomfortable. I quickly opened a portal back to my house and went through leaving him behind.

Just as I walk though I was in my living room I sat on the couch and watched Isis who was still packing, God knows what. I heard the door bell. I went and opened it wandering who was at the door, and it was Jerome.

" Have you packed anything ? " I asked.

" Yeah it's all in my bag pack" he said I couldn't see it,

"Which one? " I asked trying to locate the monstrous bag he didn't have.

" Just wait right here " he's said and before I knew it he was gone, I looked around before I could go back in, and before I could even close the door he was back again.

We both sat wait for Isis who seemed like she would pack up the whole house. And once she was done we cleared up space in the living room and I draw on the ground with salt and started chanting the spell to open the portal, drawing the magic from my crystal moon pendent.

The portal opened up and we all walked through. And it all hit me at once, a surge of energy from the tree moons the air flowing with magical energy. I was home.

I we found our selves right at grams door step, but something felt off. That's we I heard a scream coming from inside the house.
