chapter 20 (Moonlight crystal)

I Opened the box and I saw a moonlight crystal my eyes widen in excitement.

"I know where this was sent from, we have to go "I said, to everyone as they all looked at me like I was crazy.

"You just got back home, you need to rest " granys said and Isis nodded in agreement to what was said.

"If you don't want to go I will " I told them.

"I don't really need to sleep so I'll come with you " Jerome said.

"Stop feeding into her antics " she raised her voice " You'll go tomorrow morning and that's final "

" But_"

"But nothing, I don't want to here anymore of your bunta, now go go your room freshen up and come down for dinner " she said walking out of the room, just leaving Isis ,Jerome and I.

I looked at the moon light crystal for a while and the memories of my childhood flood my mind, almost like a distant dream.

My father had taken my mother and I on a drive down to the beach, with our paddle boat, we went on the water and dad took as to this cave, I remember feeling alive, the beautiful crystals ,covering evey inch of the cave, the reflection of there light on the water, It was absolutely breathtaking, my little self was so excited. My father took one and gave it to me.

"This will help you one day, they store the true essence of your power " he said and handed it to me.

A tear rolled down my cheek and I felt someone wipe it off, I looked at Jerome, all he did was look me in the eyes, and turned around walking away. I wanted to stop him but sometimes told me not to.

I walked to the dinning room and found grandma setting up the table, I took the dishes from the kitchen and helped her set up the table.

"Your mother will be fine, she's probably giving them hell as it is " she said. " You rushing in without a plan is the worst this you could do ,he wants you and if you go in recklessly he'll get just what he wants " she said.

Before I could say anything the rest came into the dinning room and we all sat around the table and started to eat.

everyone was silent, asides from Isis trying to awkwardly get everyone to make a little small talk.

After I was done eating I walked to my room and sat on my bed, not to long after I herd a knock at the door. Then the door slowly pushed open, Jerome stood by the door and came over a sat besides me.

"Why are you helping me "I asked him, before he looked away from me.

"I don't know either, maybe I just like helping people "He said sarcastically causing me to roll my eyes. "I'm only nice to a few people, so take it "

"I'm not really sleepy, " I told him.

"And how is this my problem "he questioned.

"Let me show you something "I stretching my hand out to him. He looked at me with an brow raised. "Don't worry I'm not trading you on the black market, though you'd fetch for a lot out here " I joked.

He took my hand and I wake open a portal, it lead directly to my room in the old house .

"I grow up here, in this house, in this room and in this room is the same place I saw my father died " I told him.

"That's amm_" I let out a chuckle at his lack of words.

"Come with me "I said pulling him out of the room and leading me down stairs. "This is where Walt almost died last time I was here "

"Where is this going " he turned to look me directly in the eyes.

" Being around me is a death sentence! " I snapped "I can't handle it, everyone around me dies! "

"Little girl, I don't need you to worry about me " he said calmly "I do what I want, I'm not your little Wolfy canine boyfriend. I do as I please " he said.

"You j_"

"I'm helping you because I find you interesting, you peek my curiosity that's it" he turned around "now are you going to poof us back or do I have to find my way back myself " he asked.

I wave my hand causing a portal to form in front of him, he walked through and I closed it, I knew i needed some time to myself, I had been on my own for sometime, I started to feel like I was losing my mind.

An hour had gone by and I decided to go back, I walked back to granny's house and crashed on to the bed.

I hadn't even realized it was morning yet, I felt the warmth of the little light we got sip through the blinds and I was instantly awake. I dragged myself to the bathroom and took to the shower, letting the warm water running down my body. I got out and tied my hair up. I took out pair of sweats and a T-shirt. And went down stairs.

I looked around but noticed one was down yet, I went over to the coffee pot and found a fresh pot of coffee. Then the door opened, I turned and saw Jerome and Isis walk through.

"Morning " Isis blurted out "We went out for a run "

"I can see that " I said looking at how sweaty she looked, Jerome looked like he hasn't even gone out. "Y'all will tell me when you're ready to go " I said taking a cup of coffee and heading up stairs.

Not to long after I got to my room did I hear a loud crash coming from outside, I quickly rushed down stairs and I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
