Felix's POV

My heart was thudding against my chest.

My head was pounding.

I was breathing so heavily.

And my mind was racing.

Then I heard the voice...

The voice that seemed to calm me down...

So I told myself that everything was okay.

And opened my eyes...

Changbin's POV

"Luckily it wasn't anything caused by breathing troubles. It may have been triggered by shock, but one thing is for certain. It's not a good sign." The doctor's words made my heart ache. I made a mistake leaving him all alone. I don't care if I was the one for him or not because I can't deny that I really like him...

...perhaps even love him...

No. I do love him.

I looked over to Felix and then back at the doctor. I took a deep breath.

"How long has he got left?"

"By my estimations, up to a week"

I let out an unnecessary whimper as I breathed out. I gulped and nodded. My heart was on the verge of shattering.

"When can he be discharged?"

"When he wakes up." The doctor replied and then left the room.

I looked back over at Felix and smiled but I felt like I was about to cry. I wasted almost a week, and now I only have a week left to spend time with him. I huffed in a laughing sort of way.

"I'm such an idiot." I whispered. I walked towards the seat beside Felix's bed and sat on it. I took his hand in mine and watched his chest move up and down. My eyes then trailed to his handsome face that mesmerised me every time I saw it. He was perfect, even in his sleep.

"Please wake up soon Lix... I need to see you again" I said, a sad smile appearing on my face and I could feel myself tearing up.

I looked down at our hands and closed my eyes. Then the first tear fell and after that they kept coming. I cried and cried and I felt like there would never be an end to it.

A warm hand softly touched my cheek and brushed away the tears. That hand then cupped my cheek and slowly caressed it.

I opened my eyes and slowly lifted my head. Felix was looking at me, his eyes were sparkling and a small smile was on his face, but I could tell he was weak. He seemed skinnier than before, and looking at him now I could clearly see that. I can't believe I hadn't noticed it before.

I watched his eyes as they studied my face and eventually our eyes met. I felt his hand hold mine a little tighter now that he was conscious and my breathing became slightly shaky. Another few tears fell from my eyes and he repeated the action of wiping them away and cupping my cheek again. With my spare hand, I took the hand he had on my cheek and slowly moved it away from my face. I intertwined my fingers with his and slowly lowered our hands to the bed.

"You came back..." Felix whispered with a raspy voice. I slowly nodded and a slightly bigger smile appeared on his face.

"I couldn't leave you. I just couldn't stay away..." I replied, looking down at our hands before looking back up at his face.

"It was hell for me, you know?" Felix whispered, his smile fading. I felt myself wanting to cry again but this time I stopped myself. 

"Chan told me-" I took a deep breath in and watched as Felix studied my expression.

"Chan told me about your- about when I- about what happened in the bathroom that day..." I said, my voice laced with worry as I watched him sigh and look at our hands.

"I couldn't take it. I just couldn't take it." He said weakly, looking back up at me. I simply nodded and sighed.

"I know. I couldn't either." I replied, watching as his eyes once again sparkled, showing his happiness and worry without even speaking a word.

"Let me tell the doctor that you're awake. They'll discharge you when you are a bit more energetic and then we can spend the rest of the afternoon doing some fun things." I said and slowly stood up. I didn't have it in me to tell him he was going to die in a week. I looked to Felix for permission and he offered me a smile and nodded slowly. I grinned and turned around and walked towards the door. That's when I stopped and looked back at Felix.

"I'll be right back Lix. I promise that this time I'll come back." I said, returning his smile from before. His eyes widened ever so slightly and I saw them become glassy. I took that as my cue to leave the room and go to find the doctor.

(2 hours later)

I walked side-by-side with Felix who was now in his own clothes and looked like he was feeling much better.

It was silent between us, but a comfortable silence. We both occasionally glanced at each other and smiled.

As we walked down the street, I was looking around trying to see if there was a cafe anywhere. I had decided to have a slightly calmer day today and then after today, me and Felix were going to have so much fun.

"Where are we going?" Felix asked, looking over at me. The moment he had finished speaking, I spotted a cafe that I had been to quite a few times since I had been in Korea.

"That cafe over there" I said, pointing to the cafe on the other side of the road. I looked at him, grinned, grabbed his hand, and started to run. We crossed the road easily as it was unusually quiet and then ran towards the cafe.

I pulled the cafe door open and stepped inside, never once letting go of Felix's hand. I wasn't letting him go this time.

I dragged him towards the counter and looked at him quickly. He smiled at me and I saw him look at our hands.

"I'm not letting go. Not this time anyway" I leaned over and whispered. When I moved back a little, I saw that he was blushing. He gave me a small nod and I smiled again, turning my attention towards the lady who was now at the till.

"What would you like to order?"

Hello!!! I'm so sorry for not updating over the past few weeks. I've been a bit busy and also I got really engrossed with a drama 😂 Anyway... I hope you guys liked this chapter!!!!
