"Do I have to laugh now?" I asked nang maging magkasabay na ulit kaming maglakad. Hindi niya ako pinansin at mas lalong binilisan biya ang paglakad,making me fall back behind him.

I started walking at a fast pace "Wait lang Gino-ay!" Muntik na ako matapilok dun! I didn't see na meron pababa na step!My bodyguard who was suppose to protect me just stopped walking amd crossed his arms.

Tinignan ko siya ng masama," Aren't you gonna help me!?" I asked dahil talagang naka tayo lang siya dyaan at walang ginagawa kundi pagmasdan ako.

  "No." he replied.

Inis na umayos ako ng tayo at nilapitan siya "You're my bodyguard!You're suppose to protect me!" 

He shrugged his shoulders at tumayo ng maayos "I'm suppose to protect your from harm,not from your stupidity." Natahimik nalang ako at kinamot ang part ng legs ko na muntik nang masugatan.

I harshly pulled his wrist,kaya naman napatigil siya at nilingon ako "What?"

Pumaywang ako  and pout my lips,"Ano ba talaga gagawin natin sa police station?"

Nag patuloy siya sa paglakad "I'm gonna claim something your Dad asked me to get." I nodded as a response.Kahit alam lo naman na hindi niya iyon nakita dahil naka talikod siya.

"Apilido?" Tanong ng lalaking naka uniporme ng pang police na nasa counter. "Lopez,for Lucresia Lopez"
The crease on the police man's forehead vanished.Instead,he smiled at me," Ma'am Cresia!Nasa dulo ho Ang chairman's office dun niyo nalang kunin ang mga papel."

We both headed to the chairman's office.

"Pa."

There was an old police man siting in his swivel chair.He was probably around late forties or early fifties.Pero kahit na matanda na ang hitsura,his features was still evident.Halatang agaw atensyon ng mga panahon niya.

The old police man smiled and stood up from the chair."Gino,anak!"
Gino walked towards the man and they gave each other a hug.

"Pa,I'm gere to get the documents." The-so-called-papa of Gino smiled and went back to his table.Yumuko ito ng bahagya bago may abutin sa ilalim ng kanyang desk the folder was a little dusty kaya nang abutin ito ni Gino,pinagpag niya muna bago tuluyang kunin.

"Confidential?Importante ba'yan?" I asked nang makita ko ang nakasulat sa harap ng folder. I know it was something important but I was just trying to make him say something.

A few seconds has past at hinihintay ko padin ang sagot niya.Mukang di niya ako narinig at patuloy niyang binasa ito.His facial expression was very serious,parang kapag nabangga mo siya walang pag aalinlangan ka niyang susuntukin.
But curiosity is killing me kaya naman nag tanong ulit ako."Why is it confidential?"

Tinggal niya ang mata sa binabasa at pagod niya akong tinignan
"Baby,stop talking so I could focus."

Wait,what?He looked somewhere else immediately. Nilingon niya ang papa niya na ngayon ay naka upo sa swivel chair niya habang pinapanood kami. "Pops,we gotta go."

His father laughed hoarsely "You both remind me of myself and your Mama,Gino." Tumayo ito at sumandal sa mesa niya.

"Ganyan na ganyan ako dati sa mama mo.Being so uptight and cold towards her,but despite the attitude she managed to cope up with that.Ang ending?Me having to deal with your father." Sabay tawa nito.

I found his last statement funny kaya naman napatawa ako ng di oras.Habang tumatawa ako I saw how Gino looked at me,kahit na seryoso ang nga mata I can still see the playful smile on his lips.

"Enough with the stories pap,we're leaving."

He said bago ako hinigit sa palapulsuhan ko.

Nag lalakad na kami ngayon pabalik sa sasakyan.And my mind kept on reminding me about the endearment 'baby'.

Ang sarap pakinggan kapag sakanya nang gagaling.But it looks like he forgot about what he said earlier,pano ba naman everytime I open up the topic that happened just a while ago he would come up with another topic or hindi nalang niya ako papansinin.

After the minutes of deafening silence that feels like hours,naka rating nadin kami sa sasakyan.When the engine started,I suddenly remembered that I needed to go sa condo ni Leil!

I took my phone out at nidial ang phone niya."Hello,Leil?I'm on the way na sa condo mo okay?"

"Oh hi Cres!I thought hindi ka na pupunta icacancel ko na sana yung order ko na pizza eh."

"Ano ka ba!I wouldn't miss our girls night for anything!"

Tumatawa kaming parehl hanggang s amay narinig akong tumawag saakin.

"Cresia,where to?"

"Soleil's condo." I replied.
