Here sits husband and wife at the water's edge where it meets the ocean. They were created from one energy, split in two; energy that was taken directly from The Source. They were cast from; cursed because of their original sin ... a simple bet. Her forever enslaved to the sea, and Him eternally bound to thirst for human blood as sustenance. As they sit on the beach they discuss and debate, as they have done for millennia. Once again, a human pure of heart, a mind free of indoctrination, and a soul unbound from the malevolence that taints the world has been presented to them to be returned to The Source. It is their purpose to persuade, encourage, influence, seduce, or even trick the human to agree to return. The Source is indefinite, yet it is finite, it must be replenished, and the energy must be regulated. With this, they both compete for absolution, so they themselves can return and become The Source. This human, however, is different.

"Why have you yet to make a move my love?" he whispered

"I like to observe before I strike. Less mistakes darling." She said slowly

"The longer you take the more time it gives me to have her." He said arrogantly

"You rely on your imperious nature to conquer," She seethed, "but one does not fall in love with what they are fearful of."

"Do they not love their own God out of fear?" He retorted.

She countered "Yes, but do they not continue to question this God, go against His commandments, and commit the very sins that He has put in place as temptation for them to NOT commit?" she inquired.

He pondered this for a moment. "This may be true, but what you speak of is done by the weak, who only believe in Him. The ones who know He exists, the Fear and Love are separate. The Fear is because they know His capabilities, they do not question His ability. The Love is a symbol of respect of His mighty abilities the acceptance of the existence He has created for them." He stated firmly with his chest puffed out.

"And you believe you can receive this same separation of Love and Fear from her?" she tested "who are you to think you can match His omnipotence?"

"You question my abilities?" He snorted

"I question your grandiose gesture that you would step vainly in His way.'" She replied

"Is that not what we are here for?" His pretentious retort getting to her "my purpose is the same as yours, your purpose is the same as mine." He smiled that sly smile.

"I suppose." She sighed seemingly giving in to his banter "so how about a small wager, shall we?"

"This," he smiled showing his fangs "is the result of our last wager.".

"If I can recall, I'm the one who received the short end of that stick." She looked down at the shimmering indigo and aqua blue scales that replaced the space where her legs used to be.

"Did your really?" he countered.

She ignored him "Well then, we know AND agree what wager is on the table?" she coolly said.

He pondered it for a moment. He began to run his hand down her slick wet back. When he reached the top of her tail bone he moved his hand around to the long span of the one large tail she had. He ran his hand with the direction of the way the scales were lying. It was smooth, cool, and slimy. He brought his hand to his nose, it never smelled fishy as he once thought it would a very long time ago, it only smelled of the salty ocean.

"Let me have you once again." He abruptly said changing the subject. "His girth beginning to rise in his lap."

"Iyahhahahah!" She let out a very high shrill laugh. "Make your move 'Luscious' and stop jerking around" She said using the name Adaliah had been calling him. They were both sitting on a rock on the edge of the shore. She slowly slid down in the water and stopped right at his waist. She wrapped both hands around his girth and slowly slid the rest into her mouth. She moved her head slowly back and forth, wrapping her long tongue around the girth of his shaft. The moment he tilted his head back to enjoy the moment, she flipped backwards into the water and swam off.

Before he could jump in after her, he saw the sun getting ready to rise in the far distance. He cursed her under his breath; the sun diminished his strength and weakened his body, but did not eradicate him, contrary to popular belief. He threw his shorts and shirt back on and began his early morning workout.
