As I lay awake looking up at the stars, I couldn't help but to think about my past life. My parents being killed in the car crash, my job I had working with foster kids to help place them in good homes, my one failed relationship, my friendship with Ravyn, oh God how I missed Ravyn. I missed her something fierce. I began to tear up thinking about our past time together, but I also began thinking about how the entire time she was placed in my life on purpose, to manipulate me, nonetheless. I wasn't angry with her though and had forgiven her as I know she truly loved me overall.
So much had changed in just a short span of time. I wasn't a virgin anymore! I mean, that was a huge deal, and with all the events and happenings that were going on in my life, I hadn't had time to really contemplate and come to the realization that I had in fact finally lost my virginity, and to a complete and total stranger who seduced me. I had to chuckle to myself. After a week and a half in this other realm, everything still seemed so surreal. My life had done a complete 180 in such a short period of time.
Why me?
That is the one question I found myself asking in my head time and time again. I couldn't comprehend who I was and what my purpose was supposed to be. Elva ensured me that with time the answer will come, but once that time arrived, the question would be irrelevant. More riddles. Aside from that, I am slowly getting better at hearing with my mind and not just my ears. When I am able to tune in, I mostly hear chatter. I haven't really been able to tune in to the one person I'm talking to, I hear everyone's thoughts simultaneously, and it is also extremely loud. So Elva and one of my sister Fae practice with me on a daily basis to hone my skills. Elva tells me that I have so many skills to learn to prepare for anything. Battle, survival, hunting, carving, planting and growing, meditating and thinking; it was exceedingly overwhelming. Luckily Elva was very patient with me.
"Greetings." A low alluring voice spoke.
I snapped up from my hammock and spun around to face the voice. In the dim moon and starshine stood a woman. With high cheek bones, slanted eyes, long luscious eye lashes, two braids of silver white hair plaited on both sides of her head that came down to her bust line, and beautifully lustrous copper colored skin, she looked like a Native American. Not the ones that were commercialized, not Pocahontas, but more like Angela Bassett. I stood there with my mouth gapped open. She had a sienna colored leather band around her head with a gray, white, and black stone embedded in the front. There were embossed symbols on both sides of the stone, that lay right above her temple, two strands of the same leather hung down with beads on them of the same colors as the stones, and white feather hung from the ends of each strand. The dress she wore was white lace, with gray trimmings, and black studded stones in the shapes of diamonds were along her waistline. She had markings on her hands, wrists, ankles and feet that matched the markings on the band on her head. The most stunning element of her attire was the indigo stone that was placed above her eyebrows in the center of her forehead. It was intensely bright, and clear. It shinned and sparkled. It looked as if it was a part of her and not something that was placed there. We stared at each other for a long moment.
"Um.... Hello... I guess." I sputter out. "Who are you?"
She continues to just blankly stare at me. She has a glow to her, some type of aura. It's a very light grayish color, almost white. It's almost as if she's staring past me. I turn around and see nothing there. I blink my eyes hard three times.
Am I dreaming? I can't be, I was just sitting here a minute ago thinking about my past. Hallucinating maybe. Mary Magdalene mother of Jesus what else can happen in this realm?
I reach up and smack myself hard. The woman's eyes standing in front of me widen with surprise. Her mouth makes a small "oh" then it slowly spreads into a smile and she begins to laugh a low throaty laugh.
