Dear Diary,
The memory of today will be forever engraved into my mind, I just know it.
I guess all this chaos started during our lunch break. When Holly and I were playing truth or dare.
"Truth." I say without really thinking. I always went with truth, dares weren't really appealing, to be honest.
"Who's your crush?" Holly's eyes widened in curiosity.
"No one really." I answer truthfully. The closest I've gotten to a guy here was pretty much just talking to Dustin, or arguing with Valentine.
"I doubt it."
"I promise! I also swear." I add.
"Fine then," she gives in, "your turn to ask me."
"Truth or dare, Holly?"
"Truth."
I evilly grin at her, thinking of all the different things I could ask her. But I settled for the same question she asked me, "Who's your crush?"
A blush crept into her cheeks, her closing her eyes, "I change my mind. Dare!"
"No, tell me!" I press. She mumbles something, but I couldn't hear her, "Huh?"
"Valentine." She says, louder for me to hear.
"Wow." I don't know why I didn't expect this. Almost all the girls in this school probably like him, so why didn't I expect Holly too?
"Are you mad?"
"Why would I be?" I raise a brow.
"I don't know." She shrugs, "You always argue with him, but everyone kinda thinks you like him."
"That's because they assume every girl likes him." I point out.
"True."
"Is it just a little crush?" I ask, "Or is it something serious?"
"Just a little crush." She assures me. "I like him, but I just couldn't picture dating him."
Our conversation was finished by then, and a few minutes later, I find myself in my empty classroom, sitting down, reading my novel.
In the middle of a really good part of the story, arms wrapped around me from behind. "Sunny, look."
At the sound of his arrogant voice, I instantly knew it was Valentine.
"What do you want?"
"Look!" He holds a keychain in front of my face, his arms still around me, and his head resting on my shoulder.
"What am I supposed to be looking at?" All I could see was the school logo dangling with the a bunch of keys.
"Look!" He insists.
My eyes narrow into crescents, trying to find out what he was making me look at.
Just as I was about to give up and ask what I was supposed to be seeing, his lips lightly press against my cheek for just a few seconds before he unwraps his arms from around me, and walks out of the room.
Did he just... did he just kiss me?
I just stood there, my butt not moving from my chair. He kissed me. It wasn't really anything serious, but he KISSED me.
I don't know what's up with that guy, but this wasn't one of the things I picture him doing.
"Sunny!" Holly's voice break my thoughts.
"Huh?"
"Are you okay?" She asks, concerned.
I blink a couple times, "Valentine kissed me." I mutter.
"What?" She asks, not hearing.
My eyes soften, not wanting to tell her this. "Valentine kissed me." I decided to be honest with her though.
"What?" Instead of frowning, a grin pops into her face, confusing me. "When?"
"Just a while ago."
"What happened?" She asks, "I need details."
"He just... kissed me." I summarize the story, "On the cheek though."
I couldn't really remember what happened next, since all I was focusing on was the fact that Holly was smiling.
She likes him... why's she smiling?
