Dear Diary,
The whole week has rolled by, and it was a relaxing Saturday afternoon, me just rocking to One Direction songs.
"Turn it down, will you?" Monday shouts, "A strange man's reporting Charles!"
I lower the volume, raising a brow at her, "Charles?"
"Yeah, Charles Wallace, he's one of the characters here." Monday waves a book in the air.
The words A Wrinkle in Time were printed on the cover of the book together with the author, Madeleine L'Engle, on it as well.
"Are you seriously going to spend the weekend reading, when you can jam with me?" I make a face, "I mean, what's so good about that book anyway?"
Wrong move...
She starts blabbering about different scenes in the book. She said something about a girl named Meg, but I lost her after that.
I'll admit, that story was a really good one, but I only read it because it was a novel for school. The only books I'll ever need in my life is all on Wattpad.
"Enough!" I interrupt her, not wanting to hear more of the story, "I've read the book once, you know?"
"But you still forgot a lot." She mutters, continuing with her book.
"You know, if you had glasses, you'd complete the nerdy look."
She stops reading for just a second to glare at me, and then reads again.
I smirk, rising the speakers to the highest they could go.
"EVERYBODY WANTS TO STEAL MY GIRL!" I shout the lyrics, hoping Monday does something about it, "EVERYBODY WANTS TO TAKE HER ALL AWAY, COUPLE MILLION---"
I didn't get to finish the rest of Steal My Girl, which was sang by my babies, One Direction, because Monday clamped a hand over my mouth.
"Shut up!" She groans, "I knew I shouldn't have shared a room with you." She mumbles the last part.
"Can't we talk instead?" I plea, she looked reluctant, so I speak, "Pwease?" I baby talk.
"Fine." She sighs, putting her book aside, and sitting beside me on my bed, "What do you want?"
"To talk about anything really." I admit.
And our conversation went from there, we discussed school mostly, like our classmates and teachers. Did you know her teacher's name is Sunny too?!
"He's cute, but not my type." I shrug, once we were on the topic of boys. I just finished talking about this guy in my class. "So... any cuties in your class?"
"No, not really." She says, "they're all ugly."
"But you like someone, don't you?" I push. I can see it in her face, I know her too well.
"Maybe just a little crush." She places her index finger just above her thumb, "About this small."
"Shut up!" I smack her arm, "Who is it?"
"He's not in my class though..."
"Who?" I nearly shout.
"He's in yours." She says, making my eyes widen, "His name's Valentine."
And just like that, I felt the whole room turning, not really though. "What?"
"His name is Valentine."
"Valentine... JOHNSON?" I almost choke on air.
"Yeah." She smiles.
Oh no... let's just say, we were quite silent after that.
I didn't really have anything to be worried about. I didn't like Valentine, and neither did he for me.
But... it was still weird. My sister liking the guy I despise.
